I hope this isn't why we got some top recruits

Seems the NCAA has nothing better to do! Like a waste of time!

This is the most Joe Alleva thing ever. Doesn't give a damn about football, must win women's tennis by any means necessary.

quote:no shite. funnel that into the football recruiting budget, some think we're losing that arms race
Da frick were we paying women's tennis recruits for?

I'm sure that's what Ole Miss said, too
NCAA went to ole miss for women's tennis?
Or because a player admitted his was paid on draft night?

You don't want the NCAA snooping around your AD for any reason, especially for a non revenue sport.
Once they start it's easy for them to start looking into all. It's why so many times once a school gets a NOA it's usually multiple sports that get caught up in it.

I understand, but did that happen to ole miss or are you just saying that for dramatic effect?

Yeah, Ole Miss' investigation started with the firing of their women's basketball coach and then track and field after... the first NOA to them was women's basketball and track and field

I hope no hookers were involved.

Our office of compliance all need firing if this is true. All of them.

I admit to being a little worried in that who in the hell cares enough about tennis either men or women to like cheat? Plus a few years ago there was the unpleasantness of Tony Minnis.
If someone is actually cheating at women's tennis then I would worry about the possibility in other sports. If you're willing to cheat at a sport that no one cares about and doesn't feature the best young tennis players then what else are you cheating at?

LOL, shite, I hope they disband the fricking program altogether so we don't have to fund them with football money anymore...death penalty please.

I couldn't sleep last night because of the baseball game. Now I guess I will have to stay up tonight worrying about women's tennis.
Posted on 6/28/17 at 9:55 pm to Eighteen
So a sport that loses an as load of money a very year we pay the players? That's the allegation? Wtf
Posted on 6/28/17 at 9:56 pm to Catman88
So if a woman's sport gets the death penalty for cheating does that mean LSU would have to shut down 2 men's teams? How does that BS work? NM. I see this was asked

Trojans lost a natty and Reggie Bush lost a heisman after the NCAA came to town to investigate women's tennis violations.
I'm a little worried about baseball but football doesnt win enough to be cheating.
