Seems like something shady going on there. Even if its students loans or financial aid. Something is shady.

Helps kids have a chance. Coming from a low income area and having friends live in the true struggle I'm all for it!

Because it is an ugly truth that arguably could threaten their amateur status.

Yes. Ask schools (not universities) where you have to pay thousands of dollars to attend, when your family is flat broke. It's all the same thing except for the level of perks you get at each school.

Research it bro it's not shady and it's all out there in the open for you to read about. I you show the potential to make them money down the road, then you can be offered to attend for free. Plus when you have 100s of rich kids' parents spending 70 grand a year to take their half talented kids there, at worst you're breaking even. This school has been around for years but only recently did the football thing.

Don't know if they are shady but to answer your question my friend was contacted by IMG about his son going there. They offered his son 90% financial aid to go to IMG, when they turned it down they bumped up the offer to 100%.

Some people have money. Apparently you don't if you're asking.

You people who think every football player at these local high schools are "on scholarship" crack me up. You probably haven't stepped a foot on either one of those three schools campuses.

I didn't say every player, you did. I said the ones that are flat broke.

But the thing is, you are still wrong. Name one kid from Curtis that you know that didn't pay tuition and didn't do work study. I'd like a name. I'll hang up and listen.

I went to a very small school, had like 62 people in my graduating class, but the school clearly put a very high importance on athletics. It was common knowledge that the talented football player wasn't exactly paying the same tuition that the captain of the debate team was. I'm sure it's similar at these big schools, just on a much larger scale.

This is a vague anecdote. What school did you go to? Do you know for a fact that anyone at the schools mentioned go to school for free?
