re: Why wouldn't Maineri get Walker an MRI in Omaha?

Just curious if any of those posters attacking the OP are the same ones that question why a football player waits until the summer to have surgery on an injury from the previous season.

"MRIs work best once swelling has gone down.....".......Not in all cases.........What's 1k bucks to LSU for travel expenses???........Wait-----I'll answer that Q----NUTTIN'.......

No, the OP was insinuating that if the mri showed no structural damage AND IF Walker was feeling better that MAYBE they could get a couple of very important innings out of him if needed.

zero chance after how the last 10 days played out. The point of not doing it is that there is no point of doing it. When he gets back to BR, he can get the MRI and see docs he'll possibly be working with through the entire rehab process. He's just a freshman; more comfortable that way.

It could also be a distraction. If something is wrong, then it leads to more questions for the staff and other players while they're going to worry about him more.

Finally, when and where would this take place? Who would go with him? Cory has plenty of work to do with a full team of injured/aching players. He doesn't have off days. The whole staff is working every day.

Walker needs to soak his arm in a ice cooler of Bud Light for a couple hours.

If the MRI is positive then he is absolutely done. If they don't do one there is an opening for him to return.
