Let me help you with some quotes:
Well, of course he would say that.

quote:
Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats and NSA Director Mike Rogers reportedly told Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller and Senate investigators last week that President Trump had "suggested" they publicly state there was no collusion between his campaign team and Russia, reports CNN, citing multiple sources.
Well, of course he would say that.
quote:
Sources told CNN that Coats and Rogers described their conversations with Trump as "odd and uncomfortable," but noted they didn't feel the president was ordering them to directly interfere or pushing them to do something they didn't want to do.

Raise your hand if you honesty contend that if you were in Trump's place given the exact same circumstances you wouldn't have also been asking these folks why they couldn't publicly deny any such investigation.
Of course no one could honestly raise their hand in such a situation.

It's like these people have never dealt with someone straight up before?

Nice to know, but the big question about their testimony isn't addressed in this article.
What did they answer when asked to confirm this story?

That's exactly it. ANY normal average American given the same circumstances would have been like "hey you guys know there is no investigation into me, you haev each told me you know this, you have testified to Congress that this is the case, why the frick can't you publicly denounce rumors to the contrary?"
But that's not the way politician talk because even when they are asking a legitimate question they are always in a cover their arse mode, so they hem and haw and hint and such but never come straight out and ask such things and so these morons are uncomfortable when confronted with an actual human being.

That's the first thing I thought as well.
I think of a teenage boy sitting in front of a girls father before they go out on a date. Father is alpha as frick. says some shite to the boy to make things clear. Boy feels odd and uncomfortable.

% that any of this is actually true? Given the MSMs repeated lies....I wouldn't put much stock in it.

Well there's a whole song and dance called "What's in it for me?" they are all used to doing.

Thanks for the quotes. It was a no brainer to those of us that watched the hearing that Rogers and Coats weren't going to say anything different in closed classified session than their sworn testimony. They were wondering about Executive Privilege as AG Sessions was...
CNN, the MSM and democrats wanted so badly for Rogers and Coats to say Trump ordered them to stop anything and that Trump told them his Russian spy name for the KGB.
It is all a no brainer what happened. If anyone were accused of something in the MSM news 24/7 of something they know and everyone investigating or inquiring-knows-they didn't do. They would indeed ask for the record to be set straight.
The questions that remain are; who in the classified briefing room leaked to CNN? Or did CNN just make it up out of thin air? Is CNN's 'multiple sources' different than 'reliable sources'?

This is what bothers me- if the POTUS elect (or sitting pres based on timing) knows the Russian allegations are BS, not only would he be well within his rights to request a public statement of such, but as POTUS he should demand it. Trust in our entire political system is being challenged. The POTUS has a duty to stop that from happening.
