Are there any quality/high potential guys around that range? Somebody that'll be better than Tim Frazier?

That's what he's worth. Replacement level guard.

Maybe they think very highly of Quinn cook lol

Had to be desperate to clear that 2 mil of cap space. Dealin Dell

With Tim Frazier coming off the cap, New Orleans could have $14.5m in room but only if Jrue Holiday signs elsewhere.

I figured he'd be sweetener in a trade package with Ajinca and QPon, but I was expecting him to get traded sooner or later. You already have Cook and Demps has been able to find a steady supply of replacement level guards that are good enough.

I don't have a problem with it. He was OK as a #4 guard on the cheap, but he + Crawford on the floor at the same time was too much of a defensive liability.
Pels current backcourt:
Moore
Cook
Crawford
Corpse of Qpon

maybe they've been told holiday isn't signing
If so, bring on Rubio

I don't see how this really has to do with Jrue. If anything, it would imply that they do expect to re-sign him.
ETA: Nevermind, now I get it. I don't think the ~$2m freed up will make a big difference, but we'll see if Ajinca or QPon are dumped soon enough.

if he re signs they don't need cap space
if he doesn't, they do

Fraizer was terrible last year
Posted on 6/21/17 at 7:44 pm to cgrand
Yeah, I thought he was still making like $700k, so I didn't see it as a useful salary dump. Forgot that he signed a new deal last offseason.
