Best Laptop for under $1000?

Sorry for the commonly discussed topic.
I'm looking for a laptop and/or tablet to use at home for under $1000. It will be used for web browsing, Microsoft office use, and Netflix. Nothing too crazy.
I'd prefer Windows but would go with Apple (if anything is available at this price point).
What is your rec?

At this point I would probably recommend getting the top of the line iPad Pro.
Microsoft stuff seems to work pretty good on mac products now.

In terms of pushing the dollar limit, Dell XPS
This one has a 7th (current) gen i5 and a 128gb SSD.
Screen is pretty. 6th gen Intel Core vs 7th won't make a difference. I'd consider checking for a 256gb SSD with an older (6tg gen) processor.
I just got the XPS 15 a few days ago. I like it. Beautiful screen, minimum bezel.

Lenovo Flex 4, it's a fully functional laptop and convertible to a tablet with touchscreen capability. It's usually about $799, ask the Microsoft store when the next same is coming and you can get one for ~$600 with great specs.

I agree. I have the XPS 13. About 1.5 years old now. NO issues, and the screen clarity is amazing. My wife has a Apple Air or whatever you call it. We both agree that the XPS is a better computer for the $$$$

Thats what I have, but I got the i7 and 256gb SSD. I would have liked a better graphics card but I really like my laptop.
