ok. We have kickers out there that can routinely kick 50-60+ yarders in practice, but can't get a job because they miss a few during the season.

This girl has as much chance as I do to getting an NFL contract.

Angle of the pic is throwing you off. It may not be perfect, but it isn't two steps off.

At the expense of another player who's better at football than she and statistically more in need of the scholarship than some future educated "kept" woman.

no shite, go watch some one kick a field goal, their plant foot is right next to the ball. im not saying she is two steps away, im saying she isnt close enough with her plant foot to swing her kicking leg through the ball

Again, the angle is throwing you off. I know how to kick a field goal.

ETA: And her foot isn't planted yet. It's an awkward photo taken from a bad angle. You can't really infer too much out of it.

Not the same angle, and his foot is already planted.

I also don't expect her to have pro level mechanics.

One of my pet peeves is when news outlets pump up females as a conquerer of men's sports when their ability is undeserving of it. I have no problem with stating how good she is in relation to other females and that it's an accomplishment to play on the men's team.

But it is incredibly annoying when they lie to people and act like they are a dominant player in the men's sport when they clearly are not.

When I first clicked the link, I was expecting an article from a local newspaper or tv affiliate just giving one of their local kids some props.

When I saw it was on CBS Sports...I thought "puh-leeeze"

Yes, the same shite annoys me, mostly because it's like the news media keeps trying to convince society that females are "catching up" to males in athletics.

Nope, sorry. It cannot and will not ever happen. Because sports are mostly segregated, people simply do not realize how big the athletic discrepancy is. It's why people legitimately believed that Ronda Rousey could beat Floyd Mayweather. No, I'm sorry to inform the female sunshine pumpers that Mayweather would kill - literally, not figuratively - Rousey in a fight.

It's the same reason you never see an exhibition game between say, Serena Williams and Rafael Nadal. Williams would get her arse absolutely kicked. And she knows it.

Same reason we've never seen the WNBA champs challenge Duke to an exhibition match for charity. They would get embarrassed off the court.

Rant over.

well she isnt levitating so her foot is obviously about to come down because she isnt driving off of her right leg anymore, it isnt on the ground either.

So you think she has no forward momentum, only coming straight down? You should just back away now.

even if she comes down slightly ahead of where she was in sthe still shot, it isnt near close enough to where it needs to be to kick the ball. i would wager to guess this is definitely one of the three XP's she missed or it is a fake.

and i know more than you about kicking. trust me.

Who says it's slightly? You have no idea at what speed she's moving.

So the next pic in that series will be her whiffing the ball? Is that your claim?

No way to tell based on a pic at ashitty angle while she hasn't even planted.

Based on the knowledge you've shown here, I doubt it.

it's a farce

If she was good, she would of been able to walk on at a div1 school.

And lol at a 47 yarder off a tee.

If she is automatic from inside 40-45yds, Bama probably should offer. God knows they need a consistent kickers even if it sacrifices range

With college roster sizes, they could always keep 2 place kickers. IIRC, didn't Bama recently use 2 different kickers?
One who was consistent but lacked range, and a 2nd kicker who wasn't as accurate but had a stronger leg?

The first female NFL player will be a transgender I am afraid. That's where the world is headed.
