Please give me your can’t miss places to eat/drink in Natchitoches. Will be there this weekend Fri evening through Sun afternoon. Thanks

Check out the Pioneer pub on Front St

Ignore any Lasyone's meat pie rec. Most overrated food product ever.

Merci Boucoup is pretty good. Lasyones is decent, not the greatest. Mama/Papa's on front street decent with decent atmosphere on Thursday/Friday.
Overall, Natchitoches food is pretty overrated, but it's better than Alexandria

I'll echo some of the other comments - there's not really a "can't miss" place in Natchitoches.
That said, I always liked The Mariner for its view over the lake. Food was average or slightly above.
For other nicer restaurants, Merci Beaucoup and The Landing are decent, and they are on Front Street.
I've had many a meal in Mama's and Papa's, and if you want super casual, you can't go wrong with those.

Based on a Memorial Day weekend visit, our preferences (in order) were:
Mayeaux's (went Saturday night, loved the bone-in pork chops), Maglieux's (Friday night, fried bread pudding was new to me and very good), and Lasoyne's (lunch Saturday). Too much eating, didn't make it to Merci Beaucoup for lunch Sunday.
You need to be aware that Lasoyne's isn't open at night (and not at all on Sunday) and that Merci Beaucoup also isn't open at night (but is open on Sunday, just need to beat the church crowd).

Live in Natchitoches and I agree that Lasyone's meat pies are just meh for me. The plate lunches are not bad though.
Pioneer Pub recommendations are on point. Good food but be prepared for some mediocre service at times.
Maglieaux's across the street can be hit or miss on food but always has fantastic service and I enjoy doing business with the owners because they're really great folks and heavily involved in the community.
Mayeauxs has only been open for a few months and I've only had lunch there. It was pretty good for what it is.
Good plate lunches out by I-49 at French Market Express.
Graysons BBQ isn't bad and is about a 20 minute drive north of Natchitoches.

When I used to frequent Natchitoches late 1990's there were very few upscale restaurants in town.
At that time Mariners on the lake was by far the best choice for your purposes !

Pioneer pub for drinks and pretty good bar food.
Lasyone's for shrimp and grits.
