No 1908 LSU? List is shite

Alabama is way too high.

2011 Bama was better than 2012 Bama imo.

'92 team ranked below the team, essentially, it beat ...

To each their own I guess. While the 2011 Alabama defense was legendary, the 2012 Alabama defense was not too shabby themselves. They finished first in the nation in three of the four major defensive categories that year. The '12 defense did that while going up against better offenses than the '11 defense. The 2012 offense, however, was far better than the 2011 squad. They put up more yards, scored more points, and moved the ball more efficiently.
For that, I rank 2012 Alabama over 2011 Alabama.

2003 USC Trojans (12-1)

quote:Should be higher. They won the SEC when the 5th best SEC West team (Mississippi State) went 9-4 and destroyed Michigan in their bowl game. Alabama, Arkansas, and LSU were also top 10 teams for the most part, and that's just the SEC West.
23. 2010 Auburn (14-0)
Also, I'll always put 2001 Miami at the top.

Uh no. Only two teams on that list I'd take over 08 UF is 01 Miami and 95 Nebraska.

Wrong
2005 Texas beat a better version of 2004 USC all a year older but you have them ranked below them

I'll go ahead and say it; it's tough for me to put some of these teams ahead of others, ESPECIALLY given some went undefeated while others had a loss at some point.

2010 AU would absolutely wreck 03 LSU

Interesting list. Biggest discrepancy I see is 02 Ohio state at #28. They beat a Miami team that people were calling the best college team ever before the game (see 01 Miami at #2).
98 Tennessee is the worst on that list.
07 LSU was uber-talented but underachieved so can't argue with their rank.
2011 Lsu would beat most teams on that list.

With one of the worst pass interference calls ever.
Miami should've been back to back champs.

And then they'd be regarded as the best college team ever. So the team that beat them is hot garbage because if one blown call?

OSU played out of their minds in that game.
Go look back at the rest of their season.
Just one example, they needed a 4th and 10 bomb by Krenzel to survive Purdue.

The question of dominance becomes a factor. 2002 Ohio State was by no means a dominant team. They eeked out a few wins against some pretty mediocre competition (Wisconsin, Purdue, and Illinois come to mind immediately). And their national championship was decided by a phantom pass interference call in OT. If Butch Davis is on the sidelines instead of Larry Coker, the Hurricanes win by two touchdowns.
