Why wasn't Duke Riley's stop on 4th a fumble vs Bama

I know everyone was focused on us not getting those holding calls on Hurts TD, which was total BS, but the knee clearly didn't go down and the ball was out. It would've been a scoop and score and probably would've given us the W. Riley played out of his mind this game especially this series. The hit is at around 3:40. Hate to drudge this up with baseball ballin out right now but I always wondered if anyone else saw this and wondered why it wasn't reviewed LINK

Bc the only thing that holds more than Alabama's OL is the refs holding Bama's dick in their mouths.

Its an old rule....When your knee is down, the play is over.

because SEC replay Birmingham

I hate Bama, but it appears his left knee dragged the ground before he fumbled the ball. Unfortunately, either way, it doesn't change the outcome.

Looks down to me at 3:41 with ball in hand.

Nope. I looked at the play again, and the left knee dragged the ground before the ball came out. It's clear from the endzone camera - right before he rolled over the top of Riley.

I've accepted the fact BAMA will get the calls. Close, not close, obvious ones, etc. Saban is a God in both the SEC & NCAA. I just deal with it.

Looks like you saw only what you wanted to see. The knee was CLEARLY down prior to the fumble.
I wish that was not the case, but I am not going to lie about it 6 months after the fact. No need for further discussion.

The thing about this play that has confused many people is they only look at his knee being off of the ground when the ball comes out. But prior to this, his knee had touched making him already down before the ball came out

So you're saying lsu would of drove the field ????

Another questionable play in that game was Hurts throwing a pass to no one from his own end zone. Could have been intentional grounding and 2 points.
Of course his TD run should have been penalized, which means Bama would have been out of FG range and the score stays 0-0.
Not to mention the "offsetting personal fouls" on the hit on the LSU sidelines.
We did blow a golden opportunity by not doing anything with the early INT though.

When you saw the replay the knee was clearly down. I remember this from the game broadcast. They showed multiple angles and AFR it was clearly down. I was rootin like hell too until I saw that.

Because his knee was down before the ball came out.

The ref 5 feet from the play with eyes directly on it did not blow the whistle.
