I expect paid officials to do their job and do it well. That is all. I expect calls to be consistent through out the individual games and through out the league.
If you say that sec doesn't have an officiating problem, not bias, but habitual bad officiating, you are blind and shouldn't ref sports.

No wonder you're such a miserable arse. You're a referee. Makes perfect sense now

Yes. It was.

Who cares, the game is in the record books. If Miles would have established in the off season any semblance of a competent passing game with the way the defense played that night, LSU wins that game
BTW Dwayne Thomas was an ANIMAL that night.... a savage unrelenting beast . Duke Riley was a beast as well but Thomas looked as though he wanted to annihilate people that night

No, scoop and score. He thought it was out too and clearly about to house it..

Another questionable play in that game was Hurts throwing a pass to no one from his own end zone. Could have been intentional grounding and 2 points.
Of course his TD run should have been penalized, which means Bama would have been out of FG range and the score stays 0-0.
Not to mention the "offsetting personal fouls" on the hit on the LSU sidelines.
We did blow a golden opportunity by not doing anything with the early INT though.

When you saw the replay the knee was clearly down. I remember this from the game broadcast. They showed multiple angles and AFR it was clearly down. I was rootin like hell too until I saw that.

Fact that it wasn't even reviewed is what irks me and most Tiger fans. At least have a look? 'Bama in running for national championship and this is what you get - I look forward to Tiger "W" that dooms the Tide - preferrably in 2017! Geaux Tigers!

Because his knee was down before the ball came out.

So we lose 10-7? Got it.

Unfortunately, either way, it doesn't change the outcome.
What? It would have been a scoop and score if called correctly on the field. Pretty sure the 4th would have been a little different with LSU up 7-0.

The ref 5 feet from the play with eyes directly on it did not blow the whistle.

I thought it was a fumble too.

I see no legitimate reason for LSU to not take the SEC to court over Auburn 2006(?), Auburn 2017 and at least 3-4 games against Alabama (and potentially others where we were genuinely screwed).
Those premeditated calls and non-calls cost our AD millions of dollars. If we're willing take Chavis to court over a few hundred-thousand why are we afraid to stand up to the SEC in the only manner I see as plausible with the possibility of getting results.
I'm not talking just an award/settlement, but letting the conference know that we won't be pussies when we get cheated out of SEC wins might just get us a fairly called game going forwards.
Maybe part of the settlement involves no SEC refs officiating games between LSU and the two Alabama schools.

Just because you officiated with integrity (on your word) does not mean that all officials do. There have been instances in the past citing instances where officials with gambling addictions, debts, etc. became involved with mafia members and purposefully blew calls to tilt the game in one direction or another. There was an interview from a former head of the mafia, of old age and made it out, who wrote a tell all book admitting to such. It is especially easy in basketball, by calling or withholding fouls and/or sending a player to the bench or to the free throw line.
The fact that you blindly assume the officials are never corrupt is more ignorant than your accusations of the "ignorant of this board...just like the idiots on the Arkansas board."
Most people have their price, whether it be the carrot or the stick. The referees with integrity may try to pass on the bribe, but more often than not they have some past, or something to lose. Bribes, blackmails, threats...
These aren't unsubstantiated conspiracies, there are records of convictions of corrupt officials. The police have a division called internal affairs, and the government hss a committee on oversight and government reform. Unfortunately, these entities are prone to the same type of coercion.
Perhaps you defend your profession because of human error and intense scrutiny, which is fine; but to call others ignorant in the face of tangible evidence of past and potential concurrent corruption is downright ignorant. I would count yourself lucky to have officiated 34 years, which just further proves how inadequate the system is to give someone such as yourself with such blatant hubris and a glaring blind spot accrued seniority.
You like apples?
