Article speaks for itself.

The dumpster fire known as ObamaCare just keeps burning hotter. The Department of Health and Human Services released a report this week on the laughably named “Affordable” Care Act and, in what should come as a surprise to no one, it showed that the average cost of individual health care plans has doubled since 2013. That year, the average month premium was $224, but by 2017 it was $476.

I like how he doesn't mention a single shred of detail about how the AHCA improves things.
Though he did falsely infer that the reason all 23 million people will go uninsured is due to choice. That was cute.

Never mind that over 50% of the population now has a deductible over $1000 as well. Only 10% did in 2008.

But But BUT, it is affordable to those that are getting it completely paid for other tax payers.

Most of you are too stupid to understand healthcare financing.
"Who knew it was so complicated?"
Health insurance premiums went up an average of 10% a year in the three years before the Affordable Care Act. In fact, employers have been shifting the costs of premium to their employees for years while increasing deductibles, co-pays and maximum out of pocket expenses.
I always love it when people discuss the ACA premium without discussing subsidies to help offset them for people who qualify. It's also odd to hear folks talk about the huge premiums people pay through ACA. I have news for you. See how insurance premiums through the market place compare to COBRA premiums from your employer. They'll be comparable is assure you.
Also, don't think you don't already pay a premium or a "tax" for uncompensated care for uninsured.
Healthcare financing in this country is a joke and will be until we have single payer.

Wait so to get the Obama doubled it figure he simply compared the 2013 and 2017 costs?
As in, he expected no inflation in that time? He didn't use a baseline of expected price rise without the ACA?
I need the rolling on the floor emoji.

Oh, how I wish mine had only doubled.

That increase in premiums is to have been expected with inflation, and advanced medical and pharmaceutical technology.
What ObamaCare has done is retard the upward trend in prices for premiums and deductibles. I believed our President when he said savings of $2,500/family/year

Its not true. My bc/bs plan went up 8 or $10 a year most years during obama. A couple were less, one was 20.
