I have not read Brad Thor. I'm probably not going to stop the Rapp kick until I read the whole series. The shite that went down in Consent to Kill, it changed things like crazy

They are good. After try some Frederick Forsythe or Jack Higgins. On another level in terms of writing.

Just finished The Undoing Project by Michael Lewis. Holy shite, what an incredible book about two Israeli psychiatrists that truly shaped the modern world.

You would love the Oregon Files and Fargo series by Clive Cussler. Plus the authors I mentioned to B$B. Hope all is well. Jolly, jolly Christmas..

On my list. My next is a JFK bio. Everyone who enjoys the human mind has to read The Undoing Project. Fascinating story about two incredible men.

ETA: Dubosed is the best user name ever, especially for a Bama fan...

Some good stuff bud. Got quite a few puppie/candy arse Bama fans around that can't appreciate it. City of Thieves is good shite. I'm almost 50 pages in and it's definitely must read.

Looking forward to the read.

I'm reading this one, again, right now. Almost done. I only have three of his, and I just finished those. American Assassain and Term Limits I believe is the other.

ETA: Finished Protect and Defend tonight and while it was slow the first 200 pages, the shite went down and too good to put down for the rest of the 203 pages.

Onto Extreme Measures.

This is another shout out to this board and my renewed interest into reading. It helps me so much to deal with other things going on in my life that I'll refrain from talking about.

On another note... I've noticed misspellings in every Flynn book I've read. I am reading the hard copies from my local library and I'm shocked. In the most recent it was a 'were' in the content surely called for a 'where'

Another was a name of a girlfriend of Rapp named Anna was in the book as 'Ana'. There are more but I can't recall them

I know this is small and petty shite but as one following the series, I'm a bit shocked at the editors sign off for the publication.

I'm doing True Grit as an audio book. The use of the language of the era is excellent; it really does a good job of capturing a time and place. One of the better books I've come across in a while.

Hey Glassman!
Two of my favorites, right there, although Higgins seemed to get lazy after a while.

Always liked Forsyth, and his first two were written so well that the movies made from them are almost perfectly true without much alteration.

I know.
They're the only three Vince Flynn I have right now, though.

Just finished Extreme Measures by Flynn. Very good

Now on to Pursuit of Honor. I'm pretty pissed there's only 5 left for me to read in the series.

Dereliction of Duty: Lyndon Johnson, Robert McNamara, the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and the lies that led to Vietnam
By (Then Major, now Lt General and National Security Advisor) H. R. McMaster

I thought I knew quite a bit about the Vietnam War, but this book is eye opening. It does a great job of detailing the friction between JFK and the JCS and the measures Kennedy took to circumvent them. Also goes into LBJ's insecurities after assuming office. I'm only about 125 pages in, but it's good so far and I expect it to get better.
