It's very rare they show highlights does anyone know the reason why?

Not enough diversity in skin color.
ESPN is very racist, and basis their programming off of things like skin color.

Because they have to talk about Lebron. Go to the More Sport Board, you'll see what I mean.

Because virtually no one cares about college baseball. Yes, at LSU, State, and maybe 5-6 other places fans care. But most fans know zero about college baseball and that's a shame. It's a great sport.

because most don't give a shite

Because it's still Softball season.

Average attendance for all of college baseball is probably under 2,000 people.

It really isn't though, after the last bat change if LSU isn't playing and I have no rooting interest I can't watch it. It's bad pitching and bad hitting for the most part

Because outside of the SEC, UNC/Duke area, and Columbus Ohio nobody gives a damn about college sports compared to pros.

Because Connecticut sucks at it.

Sportscenter shows highlights?

This....Like 10 teams average more than 4000 fans per game in attendance and television ratings are abysmal when they do show it. No one is watching and no one cares.

why would a national sports channel cover college baseball? Outside of the SEC nobody even knows it exists, and even in the SEC it isn't very popular.
I was at walk ons tonight and every TV except 2 were college baseball, the other 2 were the NBA playoffs. You will not find a situation like that anywhere else in the world

College Baseball gets the shaft except for one week of the year. That's why we, the LSU and MSU fans, must keep packing them in. Remember the 80's when ESPN would cover our games...we must bring those days back!

It WAS a great sport before the change to noodle bats.

Same reason they don't highlight college hockey or lacrosse. No one gives a shite nationally

ESPN has tried featuring regular season college baseball many times over the years and ESPN2 and U still show many games. Nobody watches. If they did they would put it on more an talk about it more. It's as simple as that.
State and LSU fans....we are always going to watch. Most of the rest of the country, not so much.
Honestly, I'll watch LSU whenever they are on, but I don't think I've watched more than a couple of hours of any other college baseball games combined in my life. No. 1 and 2 could be playing and I'd have absolutely no interest. And nationally I think that's the case with most sports fans Re: college baseball. Not much interest at all unless maybe their school is making a good run of it.
