Chris Sale has been unbelievable thus far. About to put on the Red Sox game and watch him, hopefully this thread doesn't jinx him:
51 2/3 IP
73K
11BB
.79 WHIP
1.92 ERA
1.43 FIP
And guys like Keuchel & Greinke have been lights out. Keuchel looks 2015 Keuchel, his GB% is nearly 65%. Greinke, even with his loss of velocity, is on point. From what I've read, his offspeed stuff has been dominating, haven't had many chances to see him pitch.
Kershaw has been great, though not by Kershaw's standards. You know you're special, when you sport a 2.43 ERA(3.02 FIP) 57K-8BB & a .95 WHIP in 55 2/3 IP and it's not considered "great". Will goldenugget's prophecy finally come true this year???

Jason Vargas is leading the majors with a 1.01 ERA and has a 5-1 record which is very impressive considering how horrible Kansas City's offense is.

The Yankees Luis Severino has a 3.40 ERA with a .90 WHIP, with a .234 BABIP, and strikes out 10.21 batters/nine innings.

Vargas had been great thus far. Probably will end up being trade bait.

I'm glad Sale is doing well. Boston fans treated Moncada like the second coming. Still blows my mind they valued Devers over Moncada.

His changeup & slider following his 95MPH fastball is nearly unhittable. Watching the game he's throwing his changeup @ 84MPH & slider @ 77MPH. Hell, this game he's mainly thrown offspeed.

Carrasco jumped out earlier when I was looking at some early WAR rankings, he's off to a nice start for Indians, and leading majors in WAR overall (just ahead of Keuchel). WHIP of .777 also best in the MLB. ERA of 1.86. Between him and Keuchel/Sale, Cy Young for AL should be pretty good to follow.

Sale has been great, but he typically starts hot and falls off some after the All-Star break.
Boston could be good enough that he's able to focus for a full season, so we'll see if he can keep it up.

Sale is a different pitcher when not pitching to contact like the Sox started to make him do

That blows your mind? Really? Lol

Exactly, he's the premier strikeout pitcher right now in baseball. 81K/56IP. Striking out nearly 40% of batters. Usually only relievers approach numbers like that.

That the Red Sox valued Devers over Moncada? Yes, yes it does.

i feel like kershaws season is going really under the wraps right now. i think theres legit concern that he may no longer be the demigod that hes been the past 4 seasons and it has to do with his slider. if theres any one pitcher to figure it out its him, but hes just been really good this year and not the frick your face dominant like he has been

Senzatela jumps off the page for me. I won't even talk numbers. Just the fact that he is a catalyst in a great start for the Rockies is enough. It's not like he had the Jon Gray treatment either.

Now that is the astute analysis I expect from the MSB

No Santana?
Kinda surprised- 6-1, 1.50, 0.815 WHIP
Not exactly pitching in front of an offensive juggernaut, either. That's about as good a start as you can get.

Mike Leake has been good as well. Little hiccup last night, and got little support. But he has been pitching well
