The Cavs first two opponents were pretty standard fare for a 1 or 2 seed. Pacers were a league average team and Raptors a +4 SRS team. Pretty much right in line with what the Warriors faced (Blazers were average, Jazz +4).

It's their next matchup that will be really weak; both the Celtics and Wizards were sub 3 SRS teams. Whereas the Spurs and Rockets would both be legit championship contenders if not for the most stacked team in NBA history.

Matchups do matter and the Raptors just don't have the defensive personnel to deal with the Cavs. It also didn't help that Lowry went down halfway through the series. But they're not this scrub team people are retroactively making them out to be the Cavs are just that good.

Eastern Conference is sooooo weak.

CLE's 1st 2 opponents had 1 more regular season win than GS's 1st 2 opponents, but no one is talking about how weak the Warriors 1st 2 opponents are.

Those are the same silent people who were very loudly telling us how the Cavs were in trouble and vulnerable and may very well lose to Toronto or Washington. Now all of a sudden, the East is easy.

Well if the premise of that argument is that the Western Conference is stronger then that makes complete sense. You play 52 of 82 games against your conference. If we are all to agree the top 3 teams in the West are 3 of the best 4 teams in the league, then it makes sense that the other teams in the West would have worse records, as they have to play the good teams more often.

Being an SEC board with all the chest thumpers this shouldn't be a hard concept. All SECw teams would win every other conference remember, but they go 8-4 and lose to a crappy team in the bowl game because they don't care, but would be 13-0 anywhere else

THIS. So much. It was like a month ago that they were saying the Cavs were in trouble, after losing a REGULAR season game to the hawks. Remember, the Raptors matched up really well with them and were liable to give them fits?

Disagree. LeBron is just that good. And so are the W's. But LeBron will expose the W's for the pussies they are. There is only one alpha in this league.

If he were in the West, he'd be on the Spurs, because he can pick his team, and you guys would be saying the same damn thing.

Sure about that?

Indy+Toronto is 33-27 vs the West this season.

Portland+Utah is 33-27 vs the East this season.

CLE's 1st 2 opponents are every bit on the same level as GS's. There's really no reason to try and dispute that, not sure why you would to be honest.
