Let's all get serious for a minute. A known COMMUNIST and anti US person is allowed to speak and get protection, but a republican is kept out and this meeting is about how to continue to keep a republican out?

I find it ironic they demonize fascism vehemently (and rightly so, even though trump supporters aren't fascists for sake of my point let's assume they hypothetically were) yet side with communism which murdered hundreds of millions of people.
I find it ironic that all you hear about is the evils of Hitler and the Nazis yet Stalin and the Communists actions are overlooked

Tulane forbid a conservative speaking on their campus years ago but allowed Daniel Ortega, a dictator and mass murderer to speak. A puppet of old communist Soviet Union in central america.
Not much has changed and it was the college professors at Tulane that made it happen.
A conservative voice is more dangerous than a Daniel Ortega. There was a documentary on this.

One major difference is that there probably won't be a bunch of conservatives threatening to go postal if they hold this speech.
The snowflakes at Berkeley probably think they know which economic system will benefit them more, between communism and capitalism. For students who have been taken care of their entire lives, and who's only working experience is summer jobs and working at the coffee shop, communism probably fits with their experience better than capitalism. And don't forget that they care, so, so much...
