Dances With Wolves is peak Costner. What an incredibly well put together film. However, the older I get (35), I am beginning to understand more and more that Waterworld and Postman were given the worst possible reviews by liberal media because Costner ---GASP!!!--- is .... brace yourself, perhaps sit down... a CONSERVATIVE. It's pretty well documented at this point that, bare minimum, Waterworld isn't as bad as it was made out to be. The poor press on that one should have been a warning sign of what was eventually to be with "Hollywood" media.

Tough when it's a seven time nominated for an Oscar guy who has 82 credits. He won Oscars for Rain Man and Kramer vs Kramer. Some may think Hook because it's so memorable. The Graduate and Midnight Cowboy were such great roles for him very early. Lenny and Tootsie were big. I just think his portrayal of Louis Dega in Papillon was his best ever.

Good Lord, they were both legitimately terrible movies. So bad that they are entertaining for that reason. And Waterworld is the kind of "global environmental catastrophe warning" movie that the left confuses with "science" and loves.

Postman was worse than Waterworld, but Waterworld isn't anything it's not supposed to be. It should be viewed as pure fantasy, which it is. No different than a certain popular dinosaur movie franchise.

She was close.
(Although she did have a very underrated gem in Blast From the Past a few years later. But that was the end of the line.)

I really liked Blast From the Past. I don't give a crap what anyone says.

I have no clue who the actor is in the OP.

If we're talking peak as in career peak, McConaughey's peak was about 3-4 years ago, even if wooderson is more iconic
I submit:

You could also post your gif from your true Hollywood story

The Postman is way better than waterworld. It's a masterpiece as far as I'm concerned. Will Patton's character(Bethlehem) might be the greatest movie villain I've ever seen. It's only drawback is it's 3 hours long but it's well worth it.
