Now that is a good point. Beltran is too slow to bat in the top 2.

And again I'm not advocating sending him down. Just speculation on the future. .250 with a league average OBP is fine for a guy at the bottom of your lineup. Certainly there's a perception of underachieving based on what Bregs is expected to do and you have to question expectations vs reality.
But if you feel like he's under performing, are you better off long term to send him to AAA or even Corpus for a week or so and get his timing right on his swing and bring him back? That's kind of my point. Any demotion would be temporary simply to get him some ABs against lesser pitching. His ABs this year aren't bad. He's not being overmatched. He's not far off.
This is all entirely hypothetical. I couldn't see the team making any move until well into June. And that's a ton of at bats between now and then. Like I said, I don't think he's far off from getting right and spraying line drives all over the field. A demotion is a last option.

If he started pressing really hard like he did when he first came up last year over a 2 week span or so I could see it. I don't think he's close to that right now though, and we saw what he's capable of late last year when he's playing well and comfortable.
They will give him a ton of time to figure things out since he's so young and this lineup is so deep they can win while he's not playing his best

League average OBP is .316, Bregs is at .343

That's right. I was still thinking of the .319 OBP from that 12 game stretch I posted earlier.

Hamels out 8 weeks, the hits keep coming for the Rangers

Sucks for them. Hate to see injury to anyone in any sport, but this helps us even more with separating from Texas.

Reddick had a wrestling belt made to give to the player of the game every night

He's a perfect fit in the clubhouse.

General question for the DATers.
Do y'all watch every game? If not, what percentage do y'all watch?
I've been trying to follow the Rockies this season and it's almost a chore to keep up.

Reddick's post season clubhouse celebration may rival Shirtless Goggled Rasmus for GOAT. I need to see this.

Every game I can possibly watch. If I'm otherwise committed I follow on my phone. Will be glad when we get in market streaming.

He platoons at catcher with McCann. He is not as good of a catcher as McCann and Beltran mostly DHs so they are many ABs for him as of late. Expect that to change with Beltran struggling
