Nope, but somebody is getting the boot

Even though he was a junior, he did graduate at UNT. I'd have to think he could still play immediately.

Was he hurt last year? Saw he only played in 14 games.

Dammit Boat! I was just about to post that but figured no one would get the reference

Is it a coincidence he was at North Texas?

Combs played three seasons at UNT and was one of Conference USA's most productive players throughout his career before running into injury problems his junior season.
It's literally the third sentence in the article.

Where in the article did you see that? All I see is:
"Former North Texas basketball standout Jeremy Combs will transfer and spend his final season at LSU.
A source close to the situation said that LSU will announce the move later today."
ETA: Nevermind, they updated the article

In burd's defense, OP's linked article literally had two sentences when it was first posted. They added to the article since then.

love how wade isn't just accepting the shite roster left for him and is trying to make us as competitive as possible next season

The good news is, at worst, he'll be better than ER III.
I think this guy comes off the bench at PF...but I hope he doesnt struggle in the SEC at only 6'7. That's my 1 concern with him.
Glad Wade went out and at least got someone to help fill out the roster, I guess ER III or a guard is leaving?

ER is just going to go ahead and accept a position at Chick Fila since he essentially lives there as it is

UNT shut him down in mid January due to a lingering high ankle sprain that dated back to the previous season.

Let's get "Puffy" going for his nickname

This. And as far as him being too small, Duke won a national championship with justice winslow at PF. Combs is a freak athlete at 6'7 which is how he averaged 10.8 rpg as a sophomore. He might still need to add some weight but he will be able to hold his own

Not saying it cant happen just not many successful 6'7 215 pound PFs in this conference. I would imagine it's definitely easier against C-USA level big men. I certainly hope he translates, and is fully healed.
