You don't know that. No one knows that. What evidence suggest that Kim and Jimmy/Saul aren't still friends during the events of BB?

Any chance chuck or kim is killed?

I thought the shot of Mike reading the Handyman magazine after repairing the door was great. Nice touch VG, you glorious bastard.

I liked how they introduced Don Eladio into this episode the same way we last saw him.....face first into his pool.
This show is every bit as good as BB and Vince Gilligan knows how to tell a fricking story.

I don't think there's evidence that they aren't, but the fact that we never see her or hear anything about her during the entirety of BB would make that a bit of a stretch. The more I have thought about it, I think that the hearing ends up being a nuclear bomb that kills everyone's careers. Chuck, Jimmy both get disbarred, Kim loses Mesa-Verde, and HHM eventually folds somehow.
I don't know how we get there, but we know that Jimmy somehow begins practicing law under a new name in the same city where this is all taking place. Kim, Chuck, and HHM are never mentioned in BB, even though they are such a big part of Saul's past, and I think there's a reason for that.

This hasn't been brought up and wanted some of your thoughts.
If there was ever a shred of doubt if Kim is not fully on board with Jimmy and his tactics, that left after the meeting with the prosecutor, Chuck and Howard.
When she spoke with Chuck and Howard you can see how pist she was when Chuck talked down to her.
"The bar association standard of proof is far more lenient than you’re used to. That tape will be played,”
He was clearly talking down to her and made her sound inexperienced. You can tell she wants to crush him now more than before.
Also, the prosecutor, Ms. Hay, just like Jimmy knew that she was clearly all buddy buddy with Howard and Chuck.

Because of who Jimmy becomes as a man and lawyer.
Kim wouldn't be involved and fall that far. She's already getting her hands dirty and is uncomfortable with it.
Its going to end...bad.

This show is so good at teasing the audience.
Can't wait to see how they use the photos of the broken door, and how the knowledge of the original tape existing comes into play.

I don't think some of the characters mentioned have important enough parts to be involved in Breaking Bad's story.

I think Jimmy's intended goal here is to paint Chuck as unstable.
He will list the doctor that wants him committed and his exwife on the witness list. He will press his condition to make it seem like everything is related to Chuck's psychosis.
His attention will be simply to cast doubt so he can wiggle out of this.
What may actually happen could be nuclear: Chuck gets disbarred or discredited, possibly ruined or even committed.
The unintended fallout could lead to the actual birth of Saul Goodman.

There's no way he is disbarred and then starts under a new name. He's still active in local court, dealing with clients, etc. Hell he is even on TV and billboards. People know him there as Jimmy.

Nah. You're off base here. There is going to be a hard split eventually, which will parlay him into full Saul Goodman. People keep expecting it's chuck that will make him turn. It's actually Kim when she leaves him for good. There will be nothing left to keep him grounded in the right. Plus, she has too much of a moral conscious about her work. She is trying to win within the lines. She doesn't scurry outside very often unless its for a friend, like Jimmy.
I disagree with just about everything in this post. We have already seen Kim acting less than honorable several times. Even last night she helped send a fake handyman into Chuck's home. Remember the time she helped Jimmy con the guy in the restaurant. It turned her on and Jimmy got laid.
There are also a couple of real world reasons Kim is likely to be partners with Saul. In a book a character doesn't need anyone to talk to because as an audience we can read his mind. On a show though a character needs someone to talk to so we can know exactly what they are really thinking.

This. Saul was deeply into some very bad shite in BB. As Jesse said, he was a "criminal" lawyer, not just a criminal lawyer. Sure they could establish that Kim changed so that would be ok with that. But it would be kind of forcing it. Likewise, as someone said above, the fact that no mention of Kim was ever made on BB would make it a little awkward to say she was there all along but just never seen.

Maybe, but to me it ultimately feels like the black and white Gene scenes will get at least a full episode, if not season, and Jimmy goes to find Kim wherever she may be in the POST-BB timeline.

Not really. We hardly see ANYTHING of Saul in BB said for the Walt/Jessie/Mike encounters. it could be done. Also maybe Kim is elsewhere at a career job and keeps in touch. They really have a ton of ways they could take it in the Post-BB timeline.

loved the episode. I forgot Saul was even involved, the opening with Mike and gus was great.
If los pollos hermanos ever wanted to become a legit chain irl, with all the exposure I think they could.

Wow. You seem a bit upset.
I am here discussing a possible theory on where the show is headed. Isn't that what this board is for?
Kim's story is definitely trending more towards my theory than away from it. I feel like we are in Kim's crossroads moment right now and she continues to be with Jimmy even when things get dirty.
Plus we also got the KC Royals easter egg in the Gene flash forward. That was not an accident. If I had to bet money right now I would put it on K + J = S
