quote:How long until the CIA gets involved and ousts this dude?
the united states and the IMF contacted him today, wtf
Posted on 6/9/21 at 8:39 am to TigerTatorTots
what do you mean by that? he said he has a meeting with the IMF on Thursday but he didn't think it would be a big deal
it was pretty fascinating to hear because... even though he is the president I don't believe he understands how big of a deal this might be
he pretty much implied that El Salvador accepting bitcoin is just going to help their country and the USA will be happy for them. lol

The US typically sends the CIA into countries to oust leaders that don't align with their agenda. If Bitcoin really is a threat, I'm wondering how long it will take before that happens.

gotcha. he seemed to suggest that the united states is not going to care.
it was wild to hear

Just for people keeping score at home, if you care, watch the 3day candlestick graph. The lines you were interested in are the 7day and 99day moving averages the outcome of that will tell us what’s happening in the medium to long term.

Does el Salvador even have the infrastructure for retailers to accept btc? How do you go from (presumably) an all cash system to btc? You've got a population that probably doesn't even use debit cards, and now they're supposed to whip out their iphones and pay out of their crypto wallet?
Posted on 6/9/21 at 9:35 am to LSUJuice
they've been setting up the infrastructure for years with bitcoin beach and yea most of the citizens do have cell phones.
the strike app is the most popular app in El Salvador, for example
not saying the transition is going to be smooth but it's been happening for awhile now

Doesn’t South American usually get the antiquated leftovers? Just saying. Might not be a long term bullish thing for that to be your first mainstream adopters. Could pave the way for ethereum to take over

lol. tell me you dont understand bitcoin without telling me you dont understand bitcoin

The “read between the lines” you’re missing is these countries are going to need a shite ton of Eth for defi platforms.
Adoption of btc means adoption of eth.

yup. if bitcoin wins, ethereum/defi will win too
nothing is going to replace bitcoin though, thats just moon boy talk

Interesting. I'll definitely follow how all this unfolds. Can't fault me for being a little skeptical of Central American politicians

It will be interesting to see the US/IMF response to this. With Trump’s reserve currency fight comments and now this movement in Latin America, very bullish long term. Very. This + ETF was always the adoption dream.
Near to intermediate term chart still broken. Tons of overhead supply. Tons of non-believers praying for a chance to sell at breakeven. It will take a while. And that’s fine. More accumulation opportunity.
Oops we’re out of fries, gonna have to log off now
