Lol. Dude, you're trying to be smart and it isn't working. What data would you like? How about you provide something meaningful

Let's start with any data that supports any claim you've made here and see what you come up with.

Because it isn't about sanctuary or promoting illegals. It is about the feds requiring local police resources and local jail resources to be used free of charge to do federal immigration policing. What you don't realize is that the feds want local police forces, which are already underfunded and understaffed, to use their forces to detain people on immigration holds, when they don't have enough jail space for local criminals. The local governments have had enough. They simply don't want to devote their limited resources to immigration issues, which are federal issues.
So now we're cool with state and local governments' rights?

You made the claim. Why should I prove it for you?

Youre almost specific. I believe in you. What data do you want?

See above.
Recap: I'll take any data that support your claim.

Order of events:
1. You start thread telling people to provide you with info about a thing you dont understand.
2. I explain that one reason for sanctuary city policy is due to local law enforcement needing witnesses.
3. You ask for numbers, which doesn't make sense. Im still not sure what numbers you want. The amount of illegal immigrants that helped law enforcement?
Do you seriously expect that level of research for an obvious fact?
i think you got in over your head and youre trying to be prideful.

Believe it or not, I'm almost with you on this. Trump isn't going to deport all illegals; I think he has even alluded to that recently.
At a minimum, I want the bad guys out of here. Secondly, going forward I want America to determine how we handle the matter of LEGAL immigration.
For example, let's say that Trump, in various & assundry ways, manages to substantially reduce immigration. Then, there's the matter of the people already here. Who gets to stay? Who has to go? We need to determine how to handle that. Maybe we could set a date. Anybody who can prove they were in the country before that date, and has a clean record, can stay. Anybody who can't prove it has to go.
But Regardless, the "policy" we've had isn't worth a damn. This matter should not be decided by how many people can simply cross the border and make it to a safe location. America has to take control of our southern border.
That's the way I see It, anyway.

People can apply for citizenship, and then whether through public service, a type of payroll taxes, etc. they can pay off the value, with their labor and/or currency.
Secondly, going forward I want America to determine how we handle the matter of LEGAL immigration.
Maybe have various tiers to work through with added privileges and/or benefits. And obviously this would be contingent on lawful behavior.
In other words, incentivize people to work and make a life for themsleves while obeying the law. Then they can focus enforcement on those who don't abide, rather than the larger group.

Immigrants don't have to fear being deported at all.
Oh you meant illegal immigrants. I'm sure it was an accident you left that out.
