Gotta say, Reuben Foster is really impressing me.

Been watching him all day on ESPN, would love to have this dude at 32 if he's even there.

I listened to him on ESPN Radio. Was not impressed...

I Still want him at 11

Hell no! We already have a Reuben Foster on this team and he barely got playing time last year because he can't call defenses!

this is the rumor (probably BS) out of saints hq. he benefited from a great scheme and coach but in the nfl the offenses are so dynamic he won't be able to get into position to make plays.

His publicist wrote a good script for him to rehabilitate his draft stock and he has stuck to it pretty well

The notion that LBs need to sound smart went out the window with Ricky Jackson, LT & Ray Lewis. This board can be so fricking dumb sometimes

I saw him in a segment and he sounded very uncomfortable with the questions that the pregnant chick was asking. He didn't articulate what he wanted to say very well.
But as soon as they put on the tape and had him talking football, his reads, his roles in certain plays, and things like that...... he immediately was in his comfort zone and sounded great. I don't care if he interviews like a bag of rocks, that dude can play LB

Exactly. He'd be 1b to Vilmas 1a of best LBs of the past decade for us the moment he walked on the practice field. Dude is an absolute beast. I kind of want a lb who is a little crazy.

Foster is a trap player, has been nothing but off the field issues. Odds are we'd maybe get one good year out of him while the rest is eaten up with arrests, suspensions, and the like.

Why is no one on this board talking about Zach Cunnigham anymore? Seemed like a lot of people liked him a couple months ago. Would be nice at 42 if foster isn't there.

Who?
Stephone Anthony?
I'm not a fan of taking Foster at 11 either, but this statement is so fricking retarded.
Foster would run circles around Anthony.

Because he's really not that good.

I would 100% pass on this fool. I don't draft potheaded dummies.

No way bro
I want a LB who can balance a checkbook, do his own taxes, and write a 10 page dissertation on his own

98% of NFL players have smoked Marijuana. I bet you've smoked marijuana. I would bet my own testicles that Foster has too, but he didn't test positive for pot, he had diluted urine.
Lawrence Taylor, Deion Sanders, and Michael Irvin were coke heads. They're also in the hall of fame.

Vilma was the next smartest MLB/ILB in Saints history behind Sam Mills. You are forgetting just how intelligent Vilma was but even moreso how much of a team leader he was.

What you want is controlled chaos. Someone who can read, recognize & react appropriately. You will not get that with Foster. You will be getting 1/3 of that only & that's the react aspect.

That's all Patrick Willis was capable of.
Would love to hear your breakdown on the differences between reading, recognizing, and reacting and where they fall on the pecking order of importance. I'm sure it's a doozy

Teams are going to pass on this dude and he will end up being a pro bowler as a rookie on a playoff team.

Alan Page became an associate justice in Minnesota's Supreme Court. Steve Young has a law degree & founded a successful investment firm. Bills QB (1962-1969) Jack Kemp was elected to the House of Representatives. He served as Housing Secretary under George H.B Bush. What's your point?
