it's 1 seat, who cares?
I think the DEMs see it as the finger in the dike.
They are convinced if they can remove that finger then the dike is soon to collapse.
And the sad fact is that they are more correct than they are wrong, given the impact of the establishment media and the stupidity/naiveté of the DEM support base

Which any normal Republican would have won by 15%. Yeah, no worries at all for you guys.
If that is a fact, you should not be laughing and celebrating - you should see the handwriting on the wall that DEMs are after-thoughts there. That the only slimmer of hope you had was prodding your delusional masses to stay deluded for a little longer with millions of dollars from your big money out of state benefactors.
Special elections are notoriously low turnout. You peaked out. It will take many more millions of dollars from your Hollywood overlords to come close in the runoff. You opposition next time will be focussed.
A few billboards showing your savior as Pajama Boy living in his mom's basement will be all that is required to make him a laughing stock.
BUT - have fun in the meantime. That is what delusional people do.

Republicans avoided calamity in this month's two special elections

No offense to the fine citizens of GA06, but it's pretty stupid to extrapolate the views of 125-150,000 people in a random special election to the general population. The political news cycle needs to feed and this is currently the only thing on the menu.
The 6th has almost 700,000 people. A little over 192,000 voted.

The Dumbocrats need to throw another 20 million or so at this seat.
That will be 30 million they don't have to spend elsewhere, and still lose.
Samuel L Jackson had better go make some more movies.

People are just looking for cracks in Trump. This happened to a lesser extent with state wide elections post-Obama.
Wrong. D's actually lost a shite ton of seats, governorships, statehouse control, etc. during the Obama years but the press was to busy fawning over the first 1/2 white president to notice.
Now a less than 30% victory in a race is a warning sign.
The left wonders why people think they are full of shite.

Exactly.
One side completely behind a single person......the other side with no focal point.........and you can't beat em. LOL

In an R+8 (recently R+14) special election?
Yeah, horrible result for Democrats.

It really is if you understand politics at all.
It's really kind of embarrassing.
Dems BARELY beat their norm in that district in a race against no-one because that's what it was.........no Republican focused candidate.
Pathetic.
Dem is going to get annihilated in the actual election.

It's very easy to motivate people to go out and vote against Ossoff when they have an entire smorgasbord of 'choose your own adventure' Republicans to pick from.
When they have a binary choice of Ossoff or Handel? Not so easy to get them to pull the trigger FOR such a terrible candidate as Handel.
Not shocked that you don't get this, but maybe you will after June 20.
Posted on 4/20/17 at 11:17 am to AdamsHouseCat
Rush nailed this one. It is already being sold as a nation wide repudiation of trump, even though he hasn't won anything and likely will lose this district.
Posted on 4/20/17 at 11:27 am to AdamsHouseCat
If the 6th had a special election and HRC was president the democrat would probably not even get 20%.
It's not a big deal that Ossoff didn't get 50% plus 1. What is a big deal is the % of votes he did recieve.
It might be just about Trump, but I don't it.

All the Hollywood liberals that donated to him should feel like a bunch of dumbasses, which they clearly are.

More than twice as much money was spent on ads against Ossoff than by him.
But continue to believe your incorrect narrative...

Great spin you put on it there buddy.
How about all the money your idiot friends spent on this campaign? How about all the free press he got from those Hollywood liberals? How about the democrats picking one candidate and putting everything into him, instead of letting democracy play out as it should?
All that y'all did, and going against 1000 Republicans, and he still couldn't win?

All these elections prove is the hard look 35 % in these places show up more for random elections
There isn't anybody changing their minds about trump.

He won by >25% against the next challenger, when he wasn't even expected to make the runoff in January.
You're falling for the Fox News spin, champ.
