Gorsuch will vote in favor of the church on this one. He has a soft spot for the bible thumpers.
Good. I hope he's as activist on the Right as the three broads of the Court are on the Left.

The right shouldn't be advocating for religious institutions. That would be unconstitutional.

The parents of these catholic schools stusents still pay taxes for public schools, their chikdren shouldn't be denied programs that all the public schools get just for being religious. Text book discrimination.

Haha that isn't how that works. You can't opt out of public programs and expect special treatment because of it.

You are showing your ignorance on this subject.
ETA: I guess I should elaborate. In many ways, federal school funding already follows the student in question. You just don't hear about it much because federal education funding is all-but-nothing for most school systems. It really is amazing to see how little the federal government actually gives to school system budgets. I was amazed when I worked in finance at the Birmingham City School system here in Alabama. We got more federal funding than any other system in the state, but it was still pennies compared to our local and state funding.

"Fires are a danger to everyone in the vicinity. A fire is a public safety issue."
I had a patient who burned down his own home "to get rid of the demons." He was charged with arson. He always asked me "how in the frick can I get charged with a felony for destroying my own shite?" Interesting...

You'll be hard pressed to find perfect analogies when talking about these things as all analogies break down at some point.
Building a recreational playground with public money and relying on the public emergency service are not the same thing. They aren't even close. Terrible analogy.

It is how it works. Kids should not be forced into a life of welfare because parent are FORCED into a failing school system.
This court case will start the beginning of changing that.

Public money should not be going to religious institutions. They are already collecting money tax free.
I'll agree with this.
Public money should also not be going to Planned Parenthood but they've been showered with it for years.

That is unequivocally false.

That is not a good analogy. Fires are a danger to everyone in the vicinity. A fire is a public safety issue.
The issue in question is playground safety. I'm not sure what the legally correct ruling is but if that's your argument, the provision in question should be voided and the ruling limited to safety measures, with the Court remaining silent on other types of public funding.

From my understanding it really is not a separation issue. The government wants to fund a playground which EVERY school gets, but some idiots up there are saying no.
There is not any Separation of Church and State in the Constitution only that the government can not impose you to observe a religion or create a religion.

Are religious citizens not as valuable as non-religious citizens? If the issue is school safety, why should children at a religious school be left out?

As a true conservative who actually wants a small federal government I hope Supreme Court rules in favor of letting states make their own laws.
That would be great, except that the concept of incorporation was settled LONG ago states can't have laws that violate the COTUS. I don't believe the founding fathers meant for the COTUS to apply to state governments, but that is what we have now, and legal precedent would lead to ruling AGAINST the MO law here.

I think the government should fund the playground.
I do not understand if you are saying that I am saying it should not, because I am not.

Well, except in Alabama.
