Talked to my uncle earlier this evening, he said there wasnt a single boat at lake martin this morning at 630am and that if he can fish tomorrow, thats where hes going. The man catches fish. Conditions look good. Im pumped for a mid week trip. I dont get one often. Ill report back tomorrow.

Well i got out on the water this morning, and my trolling motor didnt work. So i picked up and went run a bunch of errands instead. What wonderful use of a day off. Now i gotta cut grass and figure out how to fix my trolling motor.

Hopefully it's just something simple. My trolling motor quit on me one time when I went to Chicot. Ruined the whole trip. Got home and started troubleshooting it. Reset switch on the foot pedal tripped. Boy did I feel stupid.

Its gotta be something simple. Theres no fuses, so its either the male plug, female plug, or the trolling motor itself, which is a minn kota 30 so its only $100. Ill break out the tools this evening and figure it out. Itll be fixed by tomorrow.

Bayou 2 o'çlock south of 190 is considered by many the prettiest bayou in the state. Take a small boat go slow be careful there are barely submerged stumps there. If ya make it to Cayan cut look rt there is the wreck of an ole camp; ya can still see hand split cyprus shingles that were split by my great grand father.

2 oclock is beautiful. Ive been there a handful of times recently. Its my gfs favorite place to fish even tho we havent had great luck there. She likes the scenery.

There is a way to go from bayou courtableau to bayou 2 o'clock by cutting through the swamp. Don't try it, less ya got a good GPS, a small boat and dont mind maybe having to push pole paddle some. It is in my mind one of the prettiest places on the planet.
