A Q for you Physics..... gurus

Does wheel balance apply, is it necessary at the very center of a wheel ?
Item in question.
I have a A/C wheel fan that connects to the shaft with a standard hose clamp
Hose clamps are obviously heavier on the screw head side.
Does the orientation of the clamp matter to keep it in balance ?

Physics is bullshite, it's the same guys who say global warming is slowing down the Earth's rotation. They just make shite up.

Just put on the hose clamp, turn the AC on, and see if it wobbles for yourself.

The closer the out of balancing mass is to the center of your rotating object the less effect it will have.

I would think the mass of the hose clamp that close to the center of rotation would not cause an imbalance.

Does the orientation of the clamp matter to keep it in balance ?
Like this or this ?
If that's your question, then the answer is no, it does not matter.

Next time I see Shaq, I'll ask the Big Aristotle.

Please bear in mind that the physics majors on this board more than likely received their degrees from LSU.
