John Brady said westbrook is a better defender than Harden on Off the Bench just now.

Must be a reactionary message board poster.

Brady ain't watching NBA.

Westbrook opponents shoot 6.9% better when he is 'guarding' them v their season average.

He has almost half the fg contests that harden has on the season. Half! He's not guarding anybody.

OKC is basically employing the Sacramento 4 v 5 on defense with Russ out there. He guards no one. Cept instead of him snowbirding he is hanging out waiting for a rebound.

Do we need to cue up the hours of video on YouTube of Harden standing there letting his guy go by?

Teams rarely have their guy go up against Westbrook on the defensive end, he's too quick so they try to keep the ball on Oladipo, Kanter, Roberson.

The MVP will be decided by the first round series between Harden and Westbrook.

Contesting FGs has nothing to do with who is a better defender FYI. Not saying this is true with Westbrook's case but I could argue that a good defender would contest less shots because the guys they are guarding are being forced to pass the ball.

it shows the lack of effort and hanging out Away from his man awaiting the rebound. Westbrook this year is the most laughable display of defense I've ever seen. We talking a team that would have 6-7 more wins at minimum if he guarded his man at even a league average level.
