When you compare the stats the thing that stands out Is how much better embiid is at blocking shots/rim protection(embiid #1 iirc) and shooting 3s. And he's only a rookie mind you.

Pts/Reb basically a wash. Advanced stuff doesn't tell us much bc jojo was on the MInutes restriction.

He's at the bottom of the list you posted but you gotta have Steven Adams in there who's still only 23.

what about nurkic? He's arguably the reason why portland is even in the discussion for the 8th seed right now.

15/10/3 in 20 games with a new team, shoots 51% from the field

Not sure why Myles Turner is included in this discussion. He's a good player, but he's outclassed by everyone else on this list.

If I knew all would be healthy:

Anthony Davis

Joel Embiid

KAT
Jokic
Gobert
Kristaps

Myles Turner

Turner is also the youngest guy, having just played this season as a 20 year old. Second only to KAT in win shares from that draft class - better than Porzingis and Devin Booker

Every GM takes AD over Embiid and doesn't think twice

I think people forget AD is still very young. He's efficient; he is absolutely an elite scorer as well

100%

You don't watch the Pels. I do. I have seen Davis own KAT literally every time they have played. He comes out on top every game. I love KAT, but he's not as good.

Also valid

But anyways, I'm not sold on Davis over towns. It could be just preference at this point, but towns has been every bit as good as AD even this year, and is younger.

KAT is the better passer and is better from 3

Davis is a better defender and have more to his arsenal offensively. Davis is second only to Jordan and Lebron in career PER.

Regardless, AD will be first team all NBA this year. Towns has a good chance to be as well.

He is number 1 in block percentage, and number 3 in FG diff%, but I'm not sure that these stats are significant due to his small sample size. They definitely show that he has potential, though.

I guess defense doesn't matter to you. AD is way better defensively than KAT, and kicks his arse 1v1 every time they play.

KATs offensive game is more advanced as a 21 year old than Davis's was.

You're talking 24 y/o vs a 21 y/o. And KAT is still 26/8 w a TS% of 60% vs AD this year
