Again...the question was..Why can't the "worried about the weather" advocates never seem to be able to point out anything in the real world or here and now that would be indicative of the effects of an unnatural change in the climate? After half a century of fear mongering, they can come up with nothing. What does that tell you about their "science"?

Questions:
1) What did humans do to cause the climate changes?
2) What is the baseline normal climate?
3) Is it better to live in a hot or cold climate?

Finally I've been told by scientists that Earth's climate has been constantly changing since it's creation 4.5 billion years ago. Other scientists tell me that humans evolved only a few hundred thousand years ago.

Question 4) How much of the warming is natural and how much is man made?
Since he didn't answer you, I will.

1 - Nothing. Short of nuking half the planet man does not have the ability to seriously affect the climate, and he has no capacity to start or stop a trend. He can only marginally assist one.

2 - There isn't a true baseline. However we have what we believe to be reasonably accurate temperature history for the last 600 million years or so. The vast majority of that time the answer is "warmer than now, a lot".

3 - Hot. You have to expend too much energy for survival in cold. We are in a cool period now which is ok. The worst of the extremely recently ice age almost wiped out man completely.

4 - Nobody can agree on this. Even the most strident supporters of AGW can't even get in the same ballpark.

That alone should tell you volumes.

So...ya got nothing?

That said, your analogy is bogus. There were real life, and observable examples, of the effects of smoking compared to the control group of non smokers.
What is the control group for the climate fear mongers?

its so coincidental that things started rising with the onset of the industrial revolution!

but pure coincidence

Because he's a charlatan fool. Did Washington perform a ""97%"" survey as well? If so link it.

You must have come in late. I was trying to explain to that idiot that it wasn't a cat 1 when it was here. We registered 90 knots on Tybee. I dont think climate change caused hurricane matthew.

You're still avoiding the question. CO2 is good for the planet. Levels in the past have shown 1000's of PPM.

Your nice chart..however muchit has been ummm..adjusted, is again just a deflection.

Again...What is the real life, observable effects, of this dangerous climate change?

Nice chart. So much better than quoting that 97% Santa Claus like BS!

Now reading your chart it shows that warming began in 1700AD. And you find that coincidental to the beginning of the Industrial Revolution?! The earliest start historically given for the IR is 1760, and most historians and economists use 1820-1840. Since most of the early industries were powered by "green" renewable and non CO2 emitting water wheels, I find your coincidence not plausible. The farts of the millions of bisons out west had much more impact upon the environment than a water powered cloth loom on the East Coast.

Oh wait. I almost forgot your love of emoticons!

We aim to please.

Yes you did.

Unfortunately life calls and I must leave.

I am looking forward to your reply in our thread. And will read and respond it in a few hours.

Was this a quiz or was there some obscure point?

Yes it was a quiz and you got it wrong.

And my point was, that models can be whatever we want them to be.

And I'm sure that's exactly what these "so-called" climate change scientists were doing.

Before they were global warming scientists. Why did they change their name?

Because now they are able to include anything and everything that changes in our weather to fit their narrative.

Before they boxed themselves in with the "warming only" hypothesis. And since no data showed significant enough warming- they changed the game. Moved the goalposts as some would say.

so core samples are not "real life observable effects" as you so eloquently put it ?

if you secure both hands on your shoulders and firmly pull your head out of your arse, you can see that the sharp incline begins after the onset of the IR

No thanks. Sounds like a big waste of money.

But I have a question for you.

How exactly do they take an annual average temperature of the entire earth?

TIA
