No title by end of 2019 season and then that's it?

He will leave when he retires. Don't think they running him off anytime soon.

Coaches like Mike Martin at FSU (2nd most wins ever) who is a legend, or even O'Sullivan at Florida who is widely considered a top 5 coach, don't have national titles. Should they be fired?

Should've been gone two-three years ago. Sorry.

He should have been run out already. He is average at best and has no business being in his job.

Doesn't matter. It won't be enough.

An average coach with this talent would be in Omaha. I firmly believe that. Nothing Magic in what he is doing. Les 2.0.

He is not getting fired anytime soon.
I guess it's just a crapshoot getting to Omaha and actually winning some games there ?
Fans bought the hype like we always do. Maybe...we just have to not expect any more national titles in baseball. It's parity in baseball.
I don't know if it is correct to put blame on the experienced players or the instruction they are being taught.
Maybe...no one is to blame ?
I have no answers ...again

FiddleHead says he's good to go with a Top 8 seed every year!

It's time he'll never win another title so why wait. Should've called his bluff on Texas but I guess Alleva didn't learn his lesson.

I would like more accountability from the coaches regarding the actual talent level of the student athletes. They never pan out of late.

He's the new les miles. And old stubborn bastard set in his ways. It's like trying to break an old horse.

Winning a title has nothing to do with it, what will keep his job is getting to CWS and competing once he gets there. The championship is icing on the cake. If he gets there consistently a championship will happen
There's no way LSU will fire a coach who gets to CWS 5 of 7 years with 4 or 5 wins BUT ZERO CHAMPIONSHIPS

I hope you mentally recorded the 90's. Because you will never see that type of run again.
But, this program can be far more competitive than the current status quo. Pauline is so out-matched by any opponent today.
Just like Miles' last 5 seasons. He has become far too predictable and hard-headed. Bon voyage!

Stupid thread. With the way baseball is, you can't demand another CWS Title, you and the arrogant who say 'we are LSU and entitled, even none of you ever p,at but sit in your coach and thnk you know something. Is the team competive and do they have a chance to win is how you got to Judy not like you nerdy know nothings who never picked up a ball and bat thnk Go back to your bar stools in the sports bar and think you know something even though you weekend heroes know nothing

I think it's going to take a Smoke type year for PM to lose his job and I don't think most Tiger fans want to see one of those.
Let's play this thing out and see what happens. I thought Florida would bounce back after getting humbled by Auburn. Get the win today and get better.
Geaux Tigers!!

He's not winning another NCAA championship at LSU

He won't get another title. He just doesn't coach well enough to do it
