People who take phone calls on speaker in public places

That is truly aggravating. I hate it as well.

I don't do it, but how is it different than 2 people talking in person, from an eavesdropper's perspective?

What's worse is listening to some loudmouth carry on a cell phone conversation in a doctor's waiting room.

Reminiscent of the Big Phone Guy skit YouTube LINK where the English guy yells into his huge mobile phone.

What do you expect from the same demographic that thinks murder of each other is acceptable behavior

Back in '07 I was at the Circle K on Brightside in BR when the guy in front me in line got his cell phone ripped out of his hand and flung across the store by the guy in front of him for taking obnoxiously loud with speaker phone.

The older gentleman just quietly said,"quit dat shite...", the dude trembled and just stood there while people laughed and cheered. It remains one of the best things I've ever seen before in my life.

Use of a speaker phone unless you have multiple people in a room participating should be banned. Also, it should be required that you inform the other party that you are using a speaker phone.
