He was at Tcby in BR with his two sons. He was wearing a North Carolina jacket (obvious reasons)... Very nice guy, we chatted for a minute wishes my wife and I luck with our first born. I know there's a lot of les hate and fatigue on this board, but I hope in due time people will give him the respect he's earned. The man brought us a national championship and is one of the great ambassadors lsu has ever had. That said I'm happy with the new regime and am VERY excited to see Matt canadas offense. GEAUX TIGERS!!!

It's not the issue of not appreciating Les, it was just painfully obvious that he ran his course here and a change was absolutely necessary to reinvigorate the program. He was a great coach, but the game evolved and he didn't keep up, but nobody doubts his character or whether or not he is a good man because he is.

I of course feel that way, I just know of people who don't share our sentiment. Regardless, with time I feel he will be held in a higher regard than he is now.

Did you check your wallet when you got back? He was a master thief 4MM annually for 50 cent offense.

The POS aholes have to chime in with classless posts. Geez, someone can't even make a post about a pleasant encounter with Coach Miles....Some of you all are total POS. No Class and Nerdy Know Nothings dreaming about coaching or playing a game, you could never play.

Les always represented LSU with class and I hope LSU honors the 10 year anniversary of the National Championship at a home game this year and he gets the standing ovation he deserves.

Les's problem is he's just like most guys, stubborn. Except his stubbornness cost him his job.

Les is a class act. I wish he was our AD.

Nobody hates Les. It's just the fact that he was too stubborn to change and then the game passed him up. He's by all accounts a very genuine guy and loves LSU and I will never hate him for that. But college football is a business now, and he wasn't putting us in the best position to succeed.

You want him as AD? So he can make coaching hires based off who his BBQ buddies are at the moment?

No one who has ever met Les Miles doubted he was a good man. The guy sucked at coaching football. That was his downfall.

Les is a good guy. I coached Ben and Manny at U-High (before Ben left for Catholic). Both are good kids, manny was a bit too cocky for me though.
