Bless you for saying this. I may have laughed once. The second one was so much better.

The second one blew. The fact that them staying in a piece of shite hotel in Thailand required an ice maker to make the plot work is laughable for anyone who has been in Asia. Only resorts Americans and Europeans frequent have those things. They don't do ice for the most part over there; it's a luxury. I remember when they putting Mr. Chow in it that I thought there was no way that an ice machine would be in that slum. The only actual funny scene in the movie is when Mr. Chow is about to reveal everything that happened, but then dies from a drug overdose, and they ruin that one later in the movie when he's revealed to still be alive.
Not to mention Phil getting fricked in the arse by a ladyboy, and I was pretty much done with that crap.

Agree to disagree then because I nearly passed myself when Allen was driving the boat at the end.

There Will be Blood was terrible and all it's accolades are strictly due to DDL being inasanely talented.
Assassination of Jesse James was boring as Hell and people only say they love it because they believe it gives them credibility as "film" review expert.

Agree with an earlier post that Brad Pitt is a horrible actor.

The original Vacation is infinitely better than Christmas Vacation.
And Vegas Vacation is better than Christmas Vacation, as well.

Se7en is overrated.
Once the plot was thought up (serial killer/seven deadly sins) the rest of the movie pretty much writes itself. Throw in the conventional veteran cop (of course, about to retire after one last case)/rookie cop duo which we've already seen in countless movies, and you're almost done.
But oh wait, wait put a shocking twist at the end. Now it's complete.

I think Jesse Eisenberg is a good actor and like every movie he's been in.

Forrest Gump is an incredibly overrated movie.
He's a mentally handicapped man who also happened to be an All-American college football player, Medal of Honor awardee, world class ping pong player, famous runner and multimillionaire businessman? Oh yeah, and he accidentally busted the Watergate break-in?
Yeah okay.

I hated The Social Network, but then again I don't like Aaron Sorkin's style.
Normal people don't talk like that. It's like he's never seen two people have a conversation before.

. Shia Lebouf is a very good actor.
Is that unpopular or controversial for real?
When given an opportunity (like Fury or Lawless), he shines. He was excellent in American Honey, too.
I hadn't thought much of him until I saw Fury. He was a revelation in that movie.

Couldn't stand Chris Farley or Chris Rock. All they do is scream. I could never bring myself to like Farley because of it.
Definitely agree on Farley. Because I know the type so well, I can say with some confidence that he was just a standard suburban Chicago/Wisconsin funny chubby guy to the extreme. I don't find that particularly funny or innovative.
Disagree completely on Rock. I think he's incisive as hell and still has some flashes of brilliance when he wants. He was really good in Top Five.

What is great and really tragic about Farley is what happened behind the scenes. As far as overall funniest members of the cast that had ever been on the show as voted by the SNL cast, I think Farley may be voted at the top, with only Bill Murray and Norm MacDonald as competition. The behind the scenes were so fricking funny with him it's amazing.
And speaking of Rock, man his final story of Farley is depressing. Farley showed up totally shitfaced to his show, crashes it completely, the audience loves it but Rock (not angry with him) looks on in horror on what his friend has become. He personally drives Farley back to his apartment. Farley begged Rock not to leave him that he was going to die, but Rock did. Rock knew that was going to be the last time he'd see him, and he and all of SNL tried to do everything to save him before that. Farley died later that week.

Not sure if this is controversial or unpopular but here goes -- for as good of a movie as Saving Private Ryan is, the actors cast were way too damn old.
It's just odd to see 40 year olds like Tom Hanks and Tom Sizemore playing a captain and master sergeant in the 2nd Rangers when their real life counterparts were actually 20 years younger.

I have watched almost all the major series over the past 10 years.
I personally like the Wire but no way its in my top 10. Good show but pretty much a typical cop show

Tombstone is beyond terrible. It's laughably bad, to the point it plays better as a comedy than a drama
