My son got hit by the strike in Berlin this past Friday. I had to buy train tickets to Frankfurt and then flights through Brussels to get him back to Italy.
Best of luck with it. It was a complete PITA to deal with last Thursday night.

so I may need someone's help in calling Delta if the outlook doesn't get better. I have no cell service over here and know that Delta has been dealing with the shitshow of a blizzard in NYC.
Any reason you can't call over Skype or similar? Not trying to be a dick in any way, but I've had to do similar in shitty situations while abroad. Just had a nice little chat around midnight the other day with United, while in Manila.

Two things:
1. Delta should have a local number for you to call...they can transfer you to DL call ctr
2. If you can't do that I'm more than happy to call the Medallion Desk for you
side note... seems like there's always an airline strike or two in the EU

Your best bet maybe to try and get Delta to switch you to KLM or Alitalia, or even Czech CSA. And take a train out of Berlin to another city if need be due to the strike at TXL.
Or even Aeroflot if you're feeling adventurous. My understanding is transit passengers in Moscow do not require a visa.

I NEVER go through CDG anymore. Between Air France strikes and that crappy airport, there's always issues.
For the record, I've done Aeroflot before and it was actually really nice, at least internationally. I'm actually in Moscow now headed back to the states tomorrow morning but taking KLM to AMS and Delta to ATL.
Best of luck..

Sounds like a good thing I'm avoiding CDG... Sidenote: I do have a few questions for you furbs. I was going to start a thread on mobile passport but figure I can just ask you here.
How convenient is it to use at ATL? Have a lot of people begun to use the app or is it still relatively quick upon returning to the US? Also do you know where the line for MP is in Terminal E (ATL) by chance? I've never used it before (1-3 international flights a year) but just downloaded it and will attempt to use at ATL Tuesday. I'm checking a bag so will have to wait before customs, but connection is only 90 min so figure this may save some time. Thanks

Definitely do it, it's super easy. You should see some MP signs as you walk up to customs, just follow them. As soon as you land, fill out the questions and generate the QR code. Just have that up on your phone and flash it to the attendant directing people into different lines. They will send you right to the front.
Doesn't help with the bag/going back through security situation, but if your bags come out quick you can get through customs fast. I'll be using it tomorrow in ATL as well. Safe travels!

Very helpful, appreciate it! You should try and get some sleep before your flight in 6 hours
