Yes. That is generally referred to as a Win/Win situation.

$337 billion over a 9 year period isn't that much.

Democrat talking point: "it's going to explode the debt". Nope.

Wait, who predicted that? Unless they were expecting basically full subsidies and PEC coverage plus Ryan's tax cuts.

And "you're going to let people die on the street" is a Trump talking point. He said it to Cruz during the debates. IMO the only direct hit he scored on Cruz in those debates.

What happened to "Plans they haven't even thought of yet", "Everyone will have coverage" etc etc.

Premiums are going to keep going through the roof. Don't believe me ask Rand Paul. People who could only afford it with subsidies will not keep coverage.

Doesn't Ryancare offer huge tax credits to offset premiums?

If I'm understanding this correctly, I actually like the tax credit idea better than the direct subsidy (to the insurance companies on behalf of the customer). It puts the money directly in the customers hands first.

No. Unless you consider $3,500 as huge.

That would cover a month or two of family coverage.

You are right.

I think he was talking about customization of plans. for example the ladies won't have to pay for plans that cover prostate exams, etc.

They are relatively small and are based on age. They equal, at best, a couple months worth of premiums.

That would be more helpful to me and my family today. Iy may not help the illegal and others abusing the entitlements handed out by the government. I don't care to continue to pay more to help them. I will be glad to help a person who truly cannot help themselves. Not the multi-generational government tit families.

Deficits down because of cutting Medicaid.

But damn we sure need those tax cuts.

What a crap show. Terrible.

May have something to do with 24 million less people being insured according to the same report.
Don't know where you got "24 million",
The CBO number is 14 million.

That 14 million come with some odd assumptions.

E.g., to get to the 14M, you would have to assume individuals would willingly and immediately drop from their still available medicaid policies. Doesn't make sense.

Based on their past numbers, you shouldn't.

I'd take both thread titles with a giant grain of salt, as they will both likely be inaccurate...one way or the other.

The people Tom Price and Paul Ryan hired for the CBO are liars now?

Trump better hurry up and fire them.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that an extra $3,500 would help every single person in this country in one way or another. When it comes to paying for health insurance, it certainly is not a huge tax credit though.
