through 16 games, in our 12 wins we're averaging 8 runs and game and giving up 1.66

in our 4 losses we're averaging 5.5 runs a game and giving up 7.5

I know the schedule gets tougher but we can all agree we have high expectations for this team.

clean up the pitching on midweek games and our bullpen rotation and we should be playing Elite soon enough!

Geaux Tigers!!

This is one of my favorite LSU baseball teams of all time. I'm holding out hope that they will not just make it to Omaha, but have a nice run.

The midweek games aren't very troubling for me yet.

I'm not concerned about midweek losses, especially early on, in the least bit. Let's let guys get some live action for the games that matter in SEC play.

That loss to Southeastern was a poster child for lack of timely hitting although the pitching didn't get it done in key spots. Guys auditioning for middle or short relief need to get it in gear. Kiel's lack of control is going to chain him to the bench and I had hopes he could be a stopper.

Poche's ERA is 0.00

I did the math without looking it up.

Just imagine if the bottom of the order gets hot.

SEC play will be fun to watch.

Yeah, but had we played them you know that there would have been a catastrophic lack of timely hitting and the pitching would have failed in key spots. You must admit this!

While I agree with the optimism, let's not forget that LSU is 1-4 on the road. We've played three elite teams on the road and lost two. I do think that once the bullpen stabalizes this will improve and that this will be a memorable year for the Tigers.

Also, and I don't think it's changed since today, but LSU has the best pitcher in the SEC(Poche), best hitter for average (Freeman), best HR hitter and RBI producer(Deichman), and best fielding percentage in the SEC...I know it's all before SEC competition, but that's a dang good list of notables...

Well we have plenty of fans that want us to be postseason ready in march so that may fall on deaf ears

Our problem lately seems to be the bullpen. Keil and Peterson have been disappointments lately. Also, Kramer may finally have started hitting but his throws to first are bad. He may get to the plays but he is making terrible throws.

Because he didn't start the first 9 games batting 0.480?
