Via public handouts. This just means immensely more money spent on education with probably little effect.

Parents are the big reason for failing schools, the bad ones are filled with kids that have parents that don't give a frick.

It couldn't be indoctrination instead of education.

Nah, I feel confident it's worthless parents. You sound fairly indoctrinated though.

Dalton is in NYC. Franken works in DC and supposedly resides in Minnesota. So are his kids in a dorm at Dalton? I have mixed opinions on boarding schools. That's a decision he and his wife made and I'm not criticizing them for it. I just wonder how they do it if their kids are not in a dorm.

Franken lived in NYC for a long time. Probably has homes in Minnesota and New York.

I hate the political elite---both parties. Such hypocrites.

Their goal is power and the money that comes with it.

Link to where he's running them down?

Being a proponent of public schools does not mean being against private schools.

I think he's been running down charter schools despite attending one

I think the same amount of money alloted for each student goes to the charter school.

That and the overall low IQ of the inner cities.

And Al Franken doesn't want his kids in the shitty schools where parents don't care. So, he takes his money and puts them in a better school. Why can't the poor kids where shitty parenting affect their learning environment use the $11 grand that taxpayers keep dumping into a failed system and take that to go to a charter school? Why don't you want to help the small percentage of kids in those schools who desire a better opportunity? Let's say just 20% of inner city parents and students right now would love that opportunity. Wouldn't it be better to chip away at problem and let it pick up momentum with each cycle? In 4 years it might be 30% and in ten years maybe 50%. Seems like a good way to approach the problem to me.

How many scholarships has Al Franken set up for Muslim refugees or Mississippi blacks to attend his children's school? Diversity and such.

Al's kids were in school in New York when he was living and working in New York for Saturday Night Live. His children are grown adults who do not attend the school now.

The Blake School is pretty exclusive and mostly caters to wealthy people. It's true that one of the reasons he got in was because he was smart and Jewish.

That's wonderful. Seems like a perfect social justice legacy for Al or his children to set up a scholarship for Muslim refugees or illegal alien Guatemalan children.

Seems as though Frankin has chosen the free market route for his own squid vs. quasi-Socialism in the form of public school for us simpletons.

His public politics and his personal practice are at odds. Big surprise.

What's the performance of the public schools in his district or specially where they live?

It really doesn't matter, does it? His kids were never going to set foot in a public school.
