Republicans were falling over themselves to praise Assange when Wikileaks was leaking information from the DNC but now that it doesn't fit their political agenda - they're the enemy.

Nope. I'm still glad they are releasing info.

Because Russia and China make no claim to guarantee freedom and liberty for their citizens. They're authoritarian despots and it's not really a question.

You either believe in America exceptionalism or you don't.

I agree to an extent. Any classified documents other than the recent CIA scandal are in fact threats to national security. Certain things we have right to know and others we dont

They saved us from Hillary Clinton selling us down the river to global corporations and foreign governments, importing rapefugees by the millions and getting us into more wars in the mideast and possibly russia as well.

We owe them a debt of gratitude.

One of the most vexing parts of this dump is that the CIA had already done this to itself. The agency bungled troves of malware into enemy hands long before Vault 7. That's not even counting Stuxnet, which they lost control of after the Iran centrifuge hack.

Because Russia, for instance, would likely assassinate him and his family. Do you wonder why they don't have problems with terrorism?

I don't mind them leaking shif when it shows our government being corrupt, but when they share stuff that takes away our technology advantage we've gained and jeopardizes our ability tongather critical intelligence, I have a problem with that.

Look up parallel construction and get back to me.

I have ever no problem with the work the IC itself does. But they're just a pawn in the bigger picture.

What's happening now is that the information and mechanisms to that information are now making their way to law enforcement, when it was never designed to do so. All it would have done is make big brother bigger.

I doubt you see this bigger picture though...

The only real threat to our national security is the bumfrickery we are pulling at home and around the world and having the unmitigated gall to bitch and moan when Russia and everyone else do the exact same thing.

Sorry, I'm tired of government secrecy. They are proven criminals. It's time to do something new.

No!

The jack-asses who cannot secure our secrets are a threat to national security.

Whether the receptacle of stolen information is Wikileaks, or the NYTimes, or CNN, or a foreign government is secondary to the problem of IC security incompetency.
