Poppy Drayton is fricking gorgeous.
And I'm glad to see William Holsey get a shot at a major film again. Kid has some talent, and would be nice to see him in a movie outside of Narnia.

Basically. The people who wasted money making this movie are stupid. You know Disney is gonna make a live action little mermaid movie eventually, and this will be forgotten about on a dollar general movie shelf.

It is ok, the Little Mermaid is a down point for Disney. This movie took the voice away from women and cast more men with speaking roles than women. Before women had a voice but because Disney is sexist they decided to make "sexy" princesses who only wanted a husband.

I think they are hoping to sucker idiots into going because it may be related to the Disney cartoon, because it doesn't matter if Disney makes one later and they already got their money. Either that or this is a write off movie.

I'd have to disagree. From everything I read, Disney was pretty much in the dumps before the little mermaid. If you didn't have the little mermaid and it's fantastic music, memorable characters, and box office success you probably wouldn't have gotten beauty and the beast, the lion king, alladin,etc. Sure it's more of a classic princess story but it was fantastic

No doubt....I was wondering w new live action Beauty and the Beast how long it would be before others followed. Little Mermaid seems like a natural but this is just a rip off of the title.
And seriously....a mermaid of the Mississippi?!?! They pick the brownest dirtiest water ever?
