Maybe, LSU is not a great team as we thought they would be. Losing Coach Andy C to Miss. State, could be the reason for our road losses.

You're a fricking idiot who knows absolutely nothing about baseball and should probably just stop watching all together

That's a cop out...McNeese and UNO shouldn't be anywhere near LSU.

1-4 after 4 weeks of action. That's not good for when they go on the road for a super regional which it looks like they will.

I believe they are 0-2 on the road this season.

Both of these are correct.

In general (no posters specifically) it's fascinating to me that as knowledgeable of a baseball fan base LSU is, they don't seem to grasp the concept of how unique the sport of Baseball is. Skip tried for his entire coaching tenure to explain to a football mentality fan base that this sport is nothing like it, not even close to it.

tldr: Midweek games are meaningless. It's a long season...chill.

Thought about making another thread, but my thoughts are relevant here...

Our next 8 games are at home vs mostly easy opponents before we go on the road to Florida. I'm more disappointed with the TT loss and Lange's last performance than I am to McNeese. We are 8-0 at home and winning the next 8 is a real possibility. I want to see more of Coomes. I want to see Lange bounce back. I want to see Slaughter strikeout less. I want to see us lock in on a DH (Romero). 13 games in is about the time we start closing in on a consistent lineup. Over the next 2 weeks, I'm not going to get caught up in the results rather I'll be looking for these things along with seeing if our coaching makes adjustments handling the pen and if anyone is going to help our hitters make mid game changes.

I don't disagree with anything you have listed.

As far as adjustments handling the pen, I'd like to see Beck and Reese get another appearance or two soon. I'd like to see Peterson dialed back from a leverage standpoint to make sure his confidence isn't fading.

Reynolds, Kiel, and Bain seem dialed in. Newman will be fine in save situations when he gets to start an inning. (He's actually stranded 5 of 6 inherited runners this season. The 6th was just high profile)

I'd like to see more mid-inning pitching changes to force guys to deal with inherited runners and see where we stand with some of them.

You got any notes on Wichita? They've looked pretty good outside of the pounding by LaTech.

This is all from memory, so bear with me. I'll have more stuff tomorrow probably.

Their coach is formerly the HC at McNeese

He's a much better assistant than HC. He was at Arkansas under Van Horn before getting the WSU gig.

Dayton Dugas, from Lake Charles, is a stud OF for them and a 2018 draft prospect. Big ole kid. 6'3" 220 range, without roster inflation.

They aren't the premier program in their conference any longer and haven't been for a while. Missouri St and Dallas Baptist are better programs. But I haven't looked to see who is having better years this year.

Also, frick Gene Stephenson.
