I had to look up WTF they were referring to and of course there are articles on it and women wanting to be paid for it.

Well, I think that it goes without saying that we would ALL be happier if they weren't so emotional.

So stop it, Ladies.

Women should be locked in cages and only allowed out for sexual pleasure and sandwich making.

You should warn us so we don't give Huffpo a click.

Buy I did find this gem:

quote:

I’d been working with Jen for some years. Our time together started right after her move to San Francisco from the East Coast

How can Jen be so unhappy in the liberal utopia of San Francisco?

If the day ever comes in this country where people really have to struggle again, we'll be screwed. People want a pat on the back for everything nowadays.

Jesus. I tried to read that second article and it is sickening. I love how the woman who is the subject of the article, is a raving mess that can't keep it together and is considering suicide, is a HR person. So she is the one deciding who is worthy of continued employment? Great.

These women today have it so so hard.

If only they the lives of ease their great grandmothers had, waking up before dawn to milk the cows and feed the chickens and make breakfast and slop the hogs and chop wood and tend the fire and make lunch and pick the vegetables and mend the clothes and make dinner.

I mean...women these days have Real stress to deal with.

I also liked how she whined about trying to figure out her husband's emotions.

I bet he could write the same article about her.

Yep. Look no further than the parents that brag about disciplining their kids or some thing. People just crave attention more than ever it seems and just want a way to get more of it.

I don't hate women like many on this board, but this is preposterous. Arguing that you deserve more compensation because of your flaws would be laughable if it wasn't so pathetic.

My main complaint with the "feminist" movement is the hypocrisy.

"We are equal to men",.....but if we are both equally drunk and bang, then I was impressionable and he took advantage of me, so he should somehow have more responsibility, so rape

"We are equal to men",......but I should get special treatment for my "emotions"

"We are equal to men",......but when we get divorced, I can't take care of myself, so alimony MF'er

I see plenty of women that I work with that are very competent and can compete for the jobs I'm going for. I think they are equally capable for a lot of jobs. And in my industry, I'm fairly certain they make the same money. But as a whole, there are too many conflicting ideals in the feminist movement. On one hand they are fighting to say they are equal, and in the same breath fighting to show how they need to be protected. We never had these issues when they were ironing clothes and making sandwiches (:sarcasm:, but really).

Sounds like the more radical feminists have found their version of white privilege.

It is not enough if the man does not emotionally and physically abuse, they also unknowingly exact their toll by simply being male.

A few months ago, I was introduced to the concept of “Emotional Labor,” from sex workers who were tweeting about the topic. These women talked about how they get compensated for their sexual labor, but a huge part of their job is emotional work (listening, validating, pretending to feel something for the sake of the other), which is assumed by the male clients to be given for free.

Hol e fuk

Charge more then. Like anyone else, you are selling your time as much as your skill set, and negotiations with a horny dude has got to be really easy.

It's ironic that they put this in here too. Let's say 30%(it's probably more) of the sex workers clients are married or in a relationship, aren't these men going to whores cause their wives aren't playing attention to them? Whose failure of emotion intelligence is that?

I am sure they'll say it's cause of the male "wannabe Clint Eastwood" additude but in reality it is cause women are shite listeners and only hear what they want to. It literally takes a professional to fake listen along faking other things

In July, Jess Zimmerman wrote in the Toast about her many years providing counsel and support to her lovelorn male friends and questioning why her efforts aren’t valued as work (unlike activities such as editing her friends writing and taking care of their animals).

Why won't these men pay me for the honor of being their friend? Also I'm 100% sure that women call on each other's "emotional labor" more than men do.

Lastly frick all that bullshite about the work they do at the home. Men do an absolute ton around most households, but because no one has built a cult of personality around yardwork, managing investments, and repairing things it isn't seen the same way as being a stay at home mom.
