When did you go to st Paul's? I graduated in 01.
Most schools on the northshore are good. I don't feel you can make a wrong decision between either mhs and sps.

Send them to Mandeville. You don't want your boy wearing those gay little choker necklaces

8th and half of 9th grade. Started MHS in 10th grade. Was a year behind you
I know a lot of people from your year. You could probably figure out who I am pretty easily. Plenty of lurkers and some posters have

Yes.
One of the buildings burnt to the ground the year before I went there. I started there in the 8th grade - so I guess that building was lost in 1981?
I can't remember then name of the building however.

Well, then compare basketball teams or head to head in football, or track, or wrestling...or just about anything else.

SPS beat mandeville last year in football , won state title in cross country and is in quarterfinals in basketball. Not bad

I think Jesuit, Catholic, and St. Paul's fight over it every year. It's a long running pissing match with no clear victor

I had one son graduate from St P and one there now. They both absolutely love the school.

I have a sophomore at MHS already, but No. 2 is looking at St. Paul's.
Between Mandeville High and St. Paul's, the question is NOT which school is better. The question is which school is right for your child? MHS could be right for one, SPS could be right for the other.
Without much effort, we can all tell stories of success and of failure from both schools.
More importantly, our pediatrician (from India) said her parents always required her to be doing one sport and one art ... any sport, any art (music, theater, drawing). It was one of the best pieces of advice I was ever given in raising my sons (LSMSA '02, SPS '04, '09 and '11). I'm SPS '76 ... lol.

Perfect explanation. MHS is more of an outgoing school, and SPS is more introverted. One has diversity, and the other uniformity. Both good schools though

Plenty of events that bring former students back (annual crawfish boil, jazz and roll, celeb waiters dinner, alum sporting events, golf tournaments, etc)
They got money from your parents, now they want it from you. Not shocking.
