First things first. They still have drive-ins?
Secondly, what do you think about the owners of the theater deciding not to show the movie?

Secondly, what do you think about the owners of the theater deciding not to show the movie?
quote:
A drive-in theater in northeast Alabama said it will not show Disney's Beauty and the Beast because it features a homosexual character.
The Henagar Drive-In Theatre in DeKalb County posted on its Facebook page on Thursday night.
"If we cannot take our 11-year-old granddaughter and 8-year-old grandson to see a movie, we have no business watching it," the theater posted on its Facebook page. "If I can't sit through a movie with God or Jesus sitting by me then we have no business showing it."
The theater's Facebook page, as of late Friday afternoon, no longer accessible. AL.com has been in contact with the theater owners but they have not yet commented about not showing the movie.
Reports first emerged Thursday that the movie included a gay character.
The movie's director, Bill Condon, described a scene in the movie as a "nice, exclusively gay moment in a Disney movie" in an interviewed published Thursday by "Attitude" - the United Kingdom's best-selling gay magazine.
The gay character in the movie is portrayed by actor Josh Gad, whose movie character has feelings for Gaston, the movie's primary antagonist.
The movie is scheduled to be released in the U.S. on March 17.

Wonder if they show rated R movies

I support their decision.
1. I see homosexuality as part of the war that dark forces are waging against the Light. You see, because the love relationship between a man and a woman results in LIFE.
2. I used to think homosexuality was Life's way of saying there are too many human beings on the earth, damnit. Item 1 above is a darker view of it.
3. Besides, I think a cartoon is a form of propaganda when used as described in the OP. Not ok. let people grow up before they make that decision. no cutesy propaganda. boo. hiss. boo.

While that's their right not to show it, that quote about Jesus sitting next to them just proves so many stereotypes about the south.
I'd posit that that guy is more concerned with his grandkids "turning gay", (which is ridiculous), than he is with Jesus watching the movie with him, which is equally ridiculous.

Prejudiced people. Pure and simple.
Nothing illegal about it though.

As long as they refuse to bend over, I stand behind them

I don't care. Same thing I said about the business that only wanted to sell to women.

Private business. They do not have to show every movie released. Free market will decide if their choice was a good one

Private business. Don't like it, don't shop there. Simple as that.
And if Disney has a problem, they can pull all of their future features from that drive in.
Problem solved.
Free market at work hoss .

Their theater, their right to show what they want.
If they denied gay people entrance, then I'm sure there could be legal ramifications.
I wish more cities had drive-ins. Nothing like nostalgia.

It's more important that private businesses can do what they want...than social engineering.
As long as...they are not providing a service to everyone.
Can't go back to selective service.
But if a diner says...we aren't serving grilled cheese sandwiches to anyone...fine.
We aren't serving grilled cheese sandwiches to black people...not fine.
This is not serving grilled cheese sandwiches to anyone. You want to see this movie, go someplace else.
