Robert Johnson might be the best of the old blues. But one of my favorites that hasn't gotten any mention yet is Champion Jack Dupree
Great performance of Junker's Blue's with King Curtis

Lightning Hopkins is my favorite.....by FAR! It seems he has never played a wrong note . Pink Anderson is another favorite, but didn't put out a lot of records.

Perhaps I should not have said "start"? People take it as I mean BB is Elvis. Not what I meant. He's just a point of reference for what I was looking for.

My all time favorite musician, blues or otherwise, is Gatemouth Brown.

I like almost everyone on Chess Records, but that's probably because Willie Dixon was one of the greatest songwriters of all time, in any genre.

I'm guessing I used to watch you play in the Caterie and elsewhere many moons ago. Great picks in any case.
