the comments are a pretty good read in their own right

Totally ?Empowered Silverman explained that she "sacrificed" having children so she could live what she deems her "fullest life." This is the standard feminist platform: "I don't need a man to be happy." Then, as she continues her sad inner thoughts, Silverman bashes men, whom she woefully stereotypes, to make herself feel better about her apparently unsatisfying "fullest life."
quote:
Then it's exposed that bitter Silverman is perhaps not as fulfilled with her "fullest life" as feminists often claim one will be if you just "resist" The Patriarchy. The comedian, clearly lamenting her empowering choice not to have children, attacks men, whom she stereotypes as hands-off fathers who never have to sacrifice at the expense of their children. (Silverman has obviously never considered the most extreme example of men sacrificing for their children, and others' children: the brave men packing the United States Military.)

Look at the bright side of this. Somewhere out there is a guy who would have met, fallen in love, and married this horrible man-hating shrew then regretted it the rest of his life had feminism not infected Silverman to the point where she wanted nothing to go with the guy before their relationship ever began. That man dodged a bullet.

Just wait til cross-dressing men become women and take everything from them like sports accolades and gender specific business loans. I will LOL

Silverman is pretty unfunny, and I'm willing to bet that if not for her heritage, she would be sitting in a cubicle somewhere making $40k.

Skank is so gross.
Not funny or attractive.
Her and Amy schumer should get a place together.

Silverman is a mess. A mess I tell you.

What man in their right mind would want to lock that down? She's just like Chelsea Handler. Gross. No thanks.

Wow, I had no idea it was so easy to be a father and husband. Thanks Sarah for reminding me I don't have to sacrifice anything!

My wife used to be a big fan of Silverman until we saw her in a comedy show in Houston and all she did was try to provoke the crowd. It was one of the most awkward things I've ever seen. She had no jokes. It wasn't clever. All she did was call everyone dumb and rednecks and tried to be super edgy, like joking how she wished she could have an abortion every week.

yeah she used to be pretty funny but her comedy is not something that most comics can sustain as they age. she's well past the age where that comedy peaks and kind of has just been left behind. then they add in politics and it's just a mess. a year or 2 ago my favorite comic was jim jeffries and he's kind of having a similar issue/arc

Women aren't funny. It's just science.
I'm only joking a little. Women aren't good at comedy. Men aren't good at lactating. We all have our gifts. Women don't understand humor, so they go for shock value or gross out comedy. You aren't really laughing at something funny they said, you are laughing because it's so shocking to hear a woman say things like that. If a man was up there saying those things, it wouldn't be funny, just gross.

And yet women wonder why more and more men are on the sidelines. Why even risk dealing with this stuff? These are the type of women who make me afraid to date.

Amy Schumer was funny before she went off the rails
Eliza Shlesinger (sp) is funny
there are a ton of good comic actresses who don't really do standup, like kristin wig and kate mckinnon. caitilyn olsen is funny on IASIP

Julia Louis Dreyfuss is the GOAT

She is a slightly better version of uber liberal Patton Oswalt with slightly funnier jokes. Literally nothing in her career has been steady other than the short stint on her CC show.

Eh, Chelsea Handler is still pretty hot considering her age, and has a pretty nice rack.
Silverman has no redeeming qualities at all, physical or otherwise.

yeah she's got a wide range. Elaine is completely different than her character on Veep
