Watching Reed was something truly special. Saban actually was the one that moved him from RB - WR
At Josh Booty's suggestion. It was Booty's greatest contribution to the program.

Eric Martin above D. Bowe and M. Clayton. Dude broke the SEC career receiving record at the time. Eric is still #3 all time on the career receiving yds list for LSU and 21st in the SEC.

I loved Eddie Kennison, but unfortunately he played during the Dinardo era with Herb Tyler, Kevin Faulk, Cecil, and Rondell Mealey all running the ball. He was a beast on kick returns though. There were several other receivers in this timeframe that had better seasons than EK's best season. Tommy Moss put together some good ones in the 80's too. I'd put Early Doucet and Brandon Lafell over Eddie's college seasons.

The OP cut off his timeframe at '86.

OP header says 1980. My bad.

If Josh Reed needed some blood, I'd give him some of mine. Rohan, too.
Man, they were great together.

Damn, you're right. I was thinking '86 because of Wendell. Martin is ahead of Bowe then.

1. Josh Reed 2001 (94 REC) (1740 YDS) (7TDS) (18 YPC)
Might add that he won the Belitnikof Award - LSU's only one and set the SEC Single Game Rec Yds mark that still stands today.

I could be wrong, but I thought Eddie Kennison played under Hallman. He might've had one year with Dinardo at best.
