It's funny how the NBA has the most interesting trade deadline in all of sports

And usually nothing big happens. But I love this time of year!

NBA free agency period is the best. This is just kind of a small primer for it. MLB deadline more shite actually happens

Baseball's isn't even a hard deadline I thought. Isn't there always movement after the original deadline has passed through waivers and crap?

Those are typically very small moves

they are 99.9% of the time very minor moves teams make for depth
the dodger/red sox trade that happened to be the single biggest trade in baseball history in terms of monetary value happening after the fact is one of the biggest outliers ever

This. It's just more stuff going on.

To me it's because when something big does happen you can see a more immediate impact in basketball than any other sport. One great player can turn a team around...it's harder to say that about baseball or football. It's not like franchise QBs or All Pro defenders get traded mid season regularly

No not really. Hockey and baseball is always more interesting and better.

Big time pitches get traded all the time and I'd argue that is a bigger deal than almost any NBA trade.

Baseball is the best because there's no cap concerns. usually, all sorts of moves happen. Basketball's is pretty great, too. Hockey always has great rumors and then nothing happens except for the time the Capitals lost their minds and traded away their best prospect for a 3rd liner.
Football's might as well not exist.

I feel like baseball players go to one team just until the end of the season, and then end up on yet another team after the season is over, which I don't like.

Why? It totally changes the face of certain teams/makes them legit contenders.
That's the best part about baseball. 1-2 pieces can make you a legit WS contender.
NBA and NFL, everyone basically knows by mid season.
