The Saint hotel is pretty damn interesting if you're looking for something different.

man Old no 77 might be the one. Only thing i dont like is not have the window overlooking the city while we get our freak on
I'll vouch for Old 77. Cool spot... We stayed on the first floor in the room closest Tchoupitoulas for the Sugar Bowl pre-Ole Miss Death Penalty (wife is an Oxford girl)... Anyway, the room has 15 foot ceilings with exposed pipes and shite, which is awesome and the whole street side wall is a window looking at frickers on the sidewalk walking by. It is a little weird when you're going at it and you can see shadows of people walking by and hear their conversations, but it was a really great stay. You even get a little New Orleans complimentary box with your stay. Zapps, Sucre chocolate, etc.
Also the little coffee/breakfast/snack bare is great.
Now that I think of it, I don't even know why I shop around when I'm looking for room. We should just go there. It's easy access to everything.

From the pics I've seen, a few of those rooms look like a good spot to take a stripper back to.

Omni Royal Orleans and the Sheraton on Canal and Camp are nice. On rainy days, The Riverside Hilton is great. Lots to access without getting wet.

I decided to book at hotel Pontchartrain this Friday.
Should arrive to Nola around 4pm. Any suggestions to get a few small plates or apps and drinks before heading to see Susto and Lumineers at 7pm. We prolly need to uber at 620ish I think.
Def. hitting up roof top bar after show.
Caribbean room requires a dress code that we won't be in.

Almost pulled the trigger on the Saint for 3/30 for Avett brothers. But then I was thinking how much jizz would be in those rooms on the carpet or showers! I'll pass

ACE Hotel - went there twice this weekend for drinks and has an amazing coffee shop inside. Rooftop pool and bar. Good location in CBD. Have not stayed there though, and seemed very boutique/LA like.
